Bullying- Experience
What is it that happened that has made you feel as though you have been bullied? What emotions are the first ones that come to mind when you think about your interaction?

Looking for ways to get involved? Plan a anti-bullying walk-a-thon. Talk to your school administrator to have a day devoted to stop bullying, created a petition to stop it. If you feel uncomfortable- ask your principal to make it anonymous, or talk to a teacher you trust.
Check out this link for more ideas on how to create your own event to prevent.
I asked the girls around my dorm what they thought about bullying. Their responses include quotes and experiences that they have had in middle school or in high school.
Shelter from the Storm- Bob Dylan
When I was in the third grade I thought that I was gay 'Cause I could draw, my uncle was, and I kept my room straight I told my mom tears rushing down my face She's like "Ben you've loved girls since before pre-k tripping, " Yeah, I guess she had a point, didn't she? Bunch of stereotypes all in my head. I remember doing the math like, "Yeah, I'm good at little league" A preconceived idea of what it all meant For those that liked the same sex Had the characteristics The right wing conservatives think it's a decision And you can be cured with some treatment and religion Man-made rewiring of a predisposition Playing God, aw nah here we go America the brave still fears what we don't know And God loves all his children, is somehow forgotten But we paraphrase a book written thirty-five-hundred years ago I don't know
I had a rough senior year. This drawing has to do with a breakup. The script is a little hard to read, so I wrote it below. Drawing is a great way of coping. If you are bored, and you let your mind wander, you come up with terrible things. If you are bored, and let your mind wanter, pick up a pen and some paper and sketch out what your brain looks like.
"Follow me" the voice said with a growl of might that covered the lies, "everything will be fine"
"She turned her head, and in the ocean of doubt, followed."
"But she didn't know where to go, so she fell to the bottom"
Having an outlet is a great way to express feelings. Usually, I go through Theater to project my emotions, and that has been my medium of choice. Recently, however, while at college, it has been easier for me to express myself and my feelings through drawing. Printer Paper+Black Pen = Great way to express underlying emotion. Here is one of my drawings.
just remember.
I made this video by walking around my dorm asking kids what they did to combat bullying. Some of these kids still think bullying happens in college (peer influence, hazing, etc), and here is how they deal with it. More to come!
Feeling Low? Take a spa day for yourself: paint your nails! Put on some nice music, take off the old polish and start new! Don't forget to paint your pinkie blue-- its the universal anti-bullying promise symbol.

Few things taste better than a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. Bake yourself a little treat, like the link we posted below, let them cool, eat two or three with a tall glass of cold milk, and listen to some Jack Johnson. Simple enough to clear your mind, no?
