I only played the original FFXIV for about a week, but one thing I do miss from it… I felt like it had a larger scale, a more enchanting setting (songs like this one certainly helped), and a better sense of presence.

Yes… everything else was unpolished, and the maps, although larger, used repeating tiles.

But I always love it when an RPG (MMO or not) has a massive environment that you could become lost in… a beautiful soundtrack that could warm your heart… and an enchanting atmosphere that could make you yearn to be there.

Mimi’s RP Character Dossier!

Hey everyone! I’ve been wanting to get back into roleplay lately, and I came up with this idea of writing up short little blurbs about each of my characters to see if I can spark some interest. If anyone is interested in any of these characters, message me and I can give some more details, and possibly set up RP! (Also, most of these characters I haven’t had the chance to do much roleplay with just yet.)

Miata Luna

A huntress and bard, Miata grew up in the Shroud among her clan, not leaving her secluded society until she was a teenager. Now, she lives near Limsa Lominsa, finding any odd job that she can.

Yesuntei Dazkar

A nomad from the Dazkar clan, Yesuntei now resides in Coerthas, honing her skill with the greatsword.

Y’dyalani Taqa

Y’dyalani’s obsession with the occult has lead her to become a scholar of the Void and other such monstrosities that roam Eorzea.

Auburn Ivy

This Hellsguard works as a sellsword in the Thanalan region, often taking jobs that lead her to exciting, if not dangerous, places.

Sophianne Pelderain

An Ishgardian noble, Sophianne has taken an interest in exploring Eorzea, chronicling what she finds while studying the intricacies of aether.
