How to protect yourself from envy and look after your energy:
Practice ‘strategic silence’: Do not share your plans before they become a reality. The energy of others' doubt can contaminate your enthusiasm before the project has taken root.
Learn to identify ‘backhanded compliments’: If someone celebrates your achievements but immediately adds a ‘but’ or attributes them to luck, take mental note. Emotional distance is the best protection.
Stop trying to be everyone's savior: Envy often arises when you try to help someone who does not want to make an effort. Your brilliance reminds them of their lack of action, and that breeds resentment.
Success requires a tight circle: In 2026, be more selective than ever. Surround yourself with people who are already where you want to be; they will not envy you because they already know the path of effort.
Apply the technique of ‘Selective Indifference’:Envy feeds on your reaction. If someone tries to belittle you and you act as if you haven't noticed, the energy of that attack dissolves.
Deep digital cleansing: Do not allow people who do not wish you well to have a window into your private life through social media. Blocking or restricting is an act of self-love, not immaturity.
Work on your sense of worthiness: The envy of others only affects you if you feel guilty about your success. When you know you have worked hard, the judgement of others loses all its power over you.
Do not lower your standards to fit in: Sometimes, for fear of envy, we stop shining. That is a mistake. The best response to negativity is to continue growing and being happy. Your happiness is your greatest shield.
Other tips:
Do not let other people's opinions affect you.
When someone treats you badly, it has nothing to do with you, but with that person.
Do energy cleansing every week, with meditation or incense.
Most anti phone advice is so inane and regurgitated to me but one thing I’ve been thinking about for days is “social media is okay, but the real danger comes in when you think your phone should be your go to during your limited pockets of leisure” like that’s literally the truest thing ever
It really is true that after a long shift or a hard study session or a tiring workout the first thing I think to do is doom scroll to “reward” myself………. But as much as I try to combat my screen I’ve never truly delved into why my phone should be my go to during my downtime. Like why is it the reward . Why is it not taking a nap. Or getting a treat. Or calling a friend . Or even reading a book. It’s like I do those things w the idea in mind that that’s when I’m “on” but what if they rly should be my downtime rewards instead of phone time
And this comes from someone who does not necessarily think social media is the devil bc I totally understand why people use it and how it makes connecting easier…… but I see older patients all the time and it’s so striking to me how they don’t have attention issues and how their reward system is wired so differently. My 52 year old boss rewards herself for an 8 hour work day by taking a run after work. Like immediately after work. She does have a phone, and she does use it, but it’s not her reward during downtime at all. She does not need a phone break in between things, because those things are what nourish her. And that’s just fascinating to me bc for my generation a peek at their phone is the ultimate reward
LAST THING bc i feel like if this reaches more people they’ll be like ummm reading or talking to a friend arent downtime activities and like okay that’s so fair……. I think the whole point is finding a default downtime activity that feels right for *you* while also not taxing you mentally. Like this is not me saying go full blackout on your phone. Also it’s just true that doom scrolling is not as passive as people think it is (I literally do it too) and your brain is still burning out from taking in so much at once, so investigating if it’s the holy grain “brain off” activity really is valid

planned out my 2026 (or first quarter at least) by asking: what do i need to do consistently to grow into the best version of myself and reach my goals? what are the NEXT, immediate steps?
one of my biggest barriers to growth is i can get distracted in my day to day, my goals grow hazy, i get stuck in daydreaming about my big big vision, and i fall back on old habits and routines that don’t serve me.
so i distilled everything down into daily, weekly, and monthly tasks. real actions, not wishy washy dreams. i pinned a daily checklist into my notes on my phone, and all my weekly and monthly tasks have been scheduled directly into my calendar.
my mindset is “discipline but with flexibility for optimisation”. my overall vibe check is: do i feel excited and energised for life? do i generally feel calm and positive? am i enjoying this journey day to day? do i feel present and focused? is this lifestyle affording time for both focused work and relaxed pleasure?
if that criteria isn’t met, something has gone wrong. if i’m meeting less than 80% of my tasks on average, i’ve asked too much of myself. it’s not about force or getting it perfect, it’s about open-minded curiosity and finding a daily lifestyle that realistically works.
i will check in after 3 months and go from there.
idgaf anymore, this is what I'm bringing to the table
