this beautiful book brings together some of the best examples by typewriter artists around the world. as well as key historical work from the bauhaus, h. n. werkman and the concrete poets, there is art by contemporary practitioners, both typewriter artists who use the keyboard as a ‘palette’ to create artworks, and artists/typographers using the form as a compositional device. the book will appeal to graphic designers, typographers, artists and illustrators, and anyone fascinated by predigital technology.

Mis alumnos, los monstruos.

Este año ha sido un buen año (me refiero al año lectivo, claro). Y eso implica muchas cosas, pero se ha visto representado en los detalles de agradecimiento que me han hecho los alumnos de los cursos. La verdad es que se agradecen mucho, te hacen sentir que realmente has hecho algo, y este de los alumnos del curso de gráfico de DGA en NETT ha sido ya el colmo: Algunos han ido apuntando nuestras frases lapidarias en una libreta que luego han maquetado entre todos con ilustraciones, gráficos… Delirante. ¡Y el resultado es de verdad muy bueno y divertido!

Pero de todas las frases me quedo con una que me han dicho un alumno este año, algo bastante grandilocuente, pero que creo que es real:

“Me has devuelto la ilusión”.
