If you're going to be spending it with a special someone, I genuinely hope it's great. Of course, you suck but that's only because I'm jealous of your blessing. In all seriousness, I hope it never ends.

How much does the new RiffTrax/MST3K Kickstarter fill you with joy?

They're getting the old Sci-Fi Channel era gang back together, filming it in Minnesota, using practical sets and puppets again, and having Pearl Forrester returning.... and you even have to ask how much joy I'm filled with @davidakadwolf? This is exactly what I’ve been hoping for over the past three seasons! Sure, the flashy Hollywood version with a huge cast and countless guest stars was fun, but it didn’t capture the true heart of MST3k. The magic of the original series was in its low-budget, small-scale charm. When it moved to Netflix and later became self-funded, it lost that unique Best Brains-era appeal. Thankfully, the Rifftrax crew understands and delivers exactly what the fans have been craving.

I am beyond overjoyed. I have been high in the cloud with the angel Wilbur, Santa Claus and Merlin about this news! And the fact we don't even have to wait over a year to see the end results is, it's....

Yes, you heard right. The rumors are true! It really IS a Giant Spider Invasion of savings at Menards!

But more important than that, we've got Movie Sign on four all-new episodes of MST3K, with Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, Bill Corbett and Mary Jo Pehl returning in the not-too-distant future for Mystery Science Theater 3000: The RiffTrax Experiments!

In addition to the return of the Sci-Fi Channel era cast, it's a return to Minneapolis for production, including practical sets and props.

The Kickstarter campaign is now live and will run through March 16. The goal was to raise $20,000 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of RiffTrax, with a commitment to produce the episodes regardless of the fundraising total. That goal was met just a few minutes after the Kickstarter went live, thanks to the incredible passion and generosity of MST3K and RiffTrax fans!
