Ray lets Michael take care of things, just sitting in the stream of water until it’s taken care of and then laying back until Michael pulls him up. His shoulder throbs but he figures his head is mostly just a bump- he checks it with his hand and there’s no blood, at least. That’s one good thing in a sea of absolute misery.
“I think I’m fine.” He says, to Michael’s worry. “Just… bumped my head- my shoulder is killing me though.” He doesn’t know what that dull-then-sharp sort of pain is but he definitely doesn’t like it. “I landed on it all sideways.”
Michael is looking over Ray’s body. He can’t remember ever having to do this. Occasionally he would have bumps and scratches but nothing like this really. f it was anything like this Michael was probably laying in a bed unconscious. It settles very heavy in his chest at the thought of this being normal. He doesn’t know if they’d be able to live if this is what life would be life. They all rely far to much on their abilities.
He nods his head nonetheless. “Okay.” Michael’s voice is a little shaky before he puts on a face and begins to pull Ray up. “Come on let’s get you into some clothes.” Michael was careful of Ray’s shoulder as he pulled him up to his feet. “Then we’ll look at it.”
