This is going to sound bad but I think people especially in fandoms are so self righteous and obsessed with being morally superior that they end up just being bullies or making shit way worse for everybody else. What happened to if you don't like it, scroll? If all cops are bastards why be the moral police?

I think that people forget that fandoms were basically started off of and are still dominated by queer people and nurodivergent/atypical people as well as nowadays, young people. Young people are still figuring out their own sexualities and feelings and how their bodies work. People forget that a lot of the people 'simping' for certain characters are probably around that characters age.

It's also incredibly unfair to bully and harass nurodivergent people for not understanding the complex moral and social codes everybody makes up.

It's almost the same as when people complain about there being 'too many gay ships'.

Basically what happened to educating people? Nobody is going to listen to you if your screaming at them.
