Rebecca is my girlfriend...and if I want to keep it that way, I can never talk to her again.

Winter Break Ideas?
I need a good project that students with very little tech can do with their independent reading books. There’s the standards (brochure or bloom ball or whatever) but I’m curious if anyone has done anything that’s been successful
Write book reviews to recommend it to their classmates (you can sneak a little argument writing in there!)
Starbuck's Happy Hour just happens to be during Teacher Appreciation Week? Coincidence? I think not...
Answer so real, Alex Trebek ain’t know what to do.
I find this hilarious...but I can’t figure out what the actual answer is!
From that time on, the world was hers for the reading. She would never be lonely again, never miss the lack of intimate friends. Books became her friends and there was one for every mood. There was poetry for quiet companionship. There was adventure when she tired of quiet hours. There would be love stories when she came into adolescence and when she wanted to feel a closeness to someone she could read a biography. On that day when she first knew she could read, she made a vow to read one book a day as long as she lived.

Miss B! I think you're shrinking!
An 8th grade boy student of mine, that noticed we are getting closer to the same height. Instead of realizing that he's growing, he thought the most logical conclusion is that I'm shrinking...
I got to meet Linda Sue Park at my school today!
Happy Poetry Month! I'm not sure what to do with the rest of it, it's such a big board! Maybe put students' poems on flowers? Any creative ideas out there?
That moment when you had a really good idea for a lesson before you fell asleep last night, and can't remember it at school the next lesson....
It was something for practicing the difference between perspective and point of view...
Sunday afternoons as a teacher. Planning binder. Notebook. Reader's Notebook. Writer's Notebook. iPad. Student Questionnaires. First Week Pre-Assessments. The One the Only Ivan. Atwell's "Naming the World."
Looks like a Saturday morning to me!
Resources for 21st Century Learning/Teaching
Anybody know some great books/articles that talk about strategies to use for 21st century learning? It’s part of my goal for my PDP. I know there’ say lot of stuff out there, I just don’t want to waste my time reading stuff that isn’t great if you have some good suggestions! Ideas?
