What make us laugh theories and "The giver"

I agree with the superiority theory of what make us laugh because the most of the times we laugh is about someone that has been suffering and we find it funny. I don't agree with the Incongruity theory because I don't find funny that something goes in another way that I thought I would be. And finally I agree also with the Relief theory because when we are stressed and we laugh it seems that any problem has happened and everything is fine, you get relaxed. I liked the first chapters of The Giver because it is like a little bit weird having weird rules that are not in the real life, it is like science fiction and reading the book takes you like to another place, I could feel like in another world, inside the book.

The reported speech is to say what another person already said. It is important nowadays because we need to express what we think. The humor is important for us because it is the form to show how do you feel or how you are, with good humor you can forget the bad things that happened to you.

What is funny? What makes me laugh? Why do I laugh about those things?

For me something funny is to laugh, get happy and have fun about something that happens but don't affect anyone. The things that make me laugh are sometimes what my friends do, the jokes they or we do, funny images, etc. because we don't affect anyone. Also when you see something you hadn't seen but surprises you and make you laugh. I don't like things that make you laugh but based on hurting people, that's not funny. Something funny also is when people makes you tickles but not so much because they also make me get mad.

Intelligence can be measured through tests?

I think intelligence can not be measured by test because sometimes you could get nervous in tests and you can answer wrong knowing the correct answer. It's good that there are tests so you can know in which level more or less you have to be. I also think that the intelligence is not the only important thing, its also important the way how you act, if you are mature or not think that intelligence is not everything, what is really important is the way that peraon thinks, act, is he or she is mature. Intelligence can not be measured by tests because that don't gives you a exactly level in which you have to be.

You can use conditionals in your daily life to put conditions to the people like when you are asking your parents to let you go out maybe you could say them "If I do my homework would you let me go?", to put conditions to your friends or brothers "If you do me a favor I would do what you want". I think that improving a second language doesn't makes you a better person, it makes you better student, it could help you getting jobs or to go to another part of the world to study, work or also live, to meet new people from the other parts of the world and set a conversation, but it doesn't makes you a better person because it is not related on how you are or your form to be. Knowing a second language makes you smarter but it don't help you as a person, to change your form to be or to be better to have relation with the people.

What if the people say that there won’t be more teachers, that we have to learn on our own?

I think we can’t learn on our own as well as we can with a teacher because we don’t know all the things we have to know or to learn, we hadn’t lived as much as a teacher or learned as much as him or her. Maybe we can learn on our own but we wouldn’t be as intelligent as we can be now, we wouldn’t learn the things deeply as the teachers show us. The advantages could be that we wouldn’t have to do homework or proyects or there wouldn’t be someone punishing us if we talk or taking us out the class but the disadvantages are that we don’t know the real meaning of the things. It would be difficult to learn on our own cuz we don’t know what is next, we need someoneto help us in each topic. The role of the students in my school is to respect each other and also respect the teachers which means to stay quiet, put attention, and show the importance we give to the class. We need to be punctual, bringall the material weneed and homeworks or proyects. The teachers role today is to share with us their knowledge, that is a good teacher, someone who share what he knows with you and not someone who want to teach you something that heeven don´t know as well as he would have to know. They arehere to help us, to teach us, to guide us, to make us good persons for the future, someone who wecould say in the future “I am here thanks tothis teacherbecause what I knowis what he shared withme whenI washis student and maybe he has punished me some times, and maybe at that time I thoughtthe worst of him but he made me to do my best. Thanks to him”

Finally I could say that if there were no teachers there couldn’t be students, we would be ignorants, and as I said before, we wouldn’t learn the things deeply as the teachers show us. There won’t be someone who we could say “THANKS for showing mewhat I know today”.
