finally sketched out this costume! he's so pretty with long hair :3

I want to do a full illustration of blight one day but I got art fight refs to work on so just this simple headshot for now!

Here's the full costume lineup for Mim!

I wanted to design outfits for them based on the ones in the show and I also wanted to figure out their fur pattern under their clothes. I played around with several iterations and landed with these! I'm pretty happy with all of them :D

This is Mimeow! (can be pronounced as either mim-ee-oh or mim-eow)

Usually just goes by Mim. Or you could go the extra mile and call them Mim Mimeow, which has been deemed their "full name." He's a mechanical engineering major that entered the digital circus at around 20 years old (probably shortly after Zooble). He's also a really big fan of horror movies, especially the behind the scenes stuff.

His avatar gimmick makes him fully unable to speak, so he now has to rely on cartoony handheld signs and body language to communicate. At first these signs had to be written on by Mim themself, but quickly got upgraded so that the signs automatically change to what Mim wants to say aloud. It's not a perfect system, but it works well enough.

This silly circus cat is actually hiding black and white patterns under their clothes! It also has a little star on its chest because I thought that would be cute.

I actually made this character back in March! Its main design inspirations are Bebe from Madoka Magica and Pierrot clowns... and unintentionally, the Puppet from FNaF. I mostly wanted a character I could project my struggles with talking onto and after some trial and error, came up with him!

My latest illustration class assignment was to draw a portrait of someone we admire, so I chose Ranboo! My professor recommended we draw whoever we picked in a way that represents them best, so I opted to use a screenshot from the RE9 stream as a reference because I thought it would be funny.

I have no idea what my professor is going to think of this once he sees it because I'm pretty sure he has zero clue who any streamer is but I'll find out after the critique!

What’re the results on the awesome art?

Gonna have to wait a while for my score since my prof is a slow grader, but the critique went well! The main criticism I got was that the composition had no clear focal point and since it was a portrait he suggested that the focus should've been more on the face (fair) but otherwise he said it was an effective piece :D my classmates also really seemed liked it!

Happy New Year!!! 🎉🎉🎉

What a year it's been! I skipped out on an art summary last year since I felt I hadn't drawn enough for one. This year was almost a similar sentiment, but only because most of what I did I never actually posted. Something to work on this year I guess. I took a painting class in the spring so I have some traditional paintings this time around, along with one in December for my illustration class. Most proud of the one from May, it was my final for painting and the full thing turned out so cool! I'm so proud of it and happy that I was able to do something with my ocs! And I didn't shy away from a background at all! I'll post the full thing at some point in the future.

Anyways, this year I got really into Cookie Run Kingdom! Don't have much to show for it in finished digital or traditional work, but trust that my sketchbook is filled with those little guys. I've been particularly enamored by Black Sapphire Cookie to a degree I haven't felt with any character since middle school with Gladion from Pokémon. Really hoping I can get to the point where I can draw him accurately from memory but we'll see. Definitely plan on drawing him a lot this year if I can :D

Besides posting more, my goal for next year is to draw my ocs more and develop them better. I have SO many that I think about often but I never post about them! College is going to be a barrier for this, so I'm thinking of at least getting some colored sketches done whenever I have the free time to.

Hoping this year is a good one! Let's see how 2026 goes

I hope the devs show us the offical beta design soon but before that I wanted to draw out a very quick personal interpretation based on the description blapphire gave in game
