My first day with digitrack! I was introduced to the teacher and the subject “digitrack”. We also talked about product and service, marketing thinking, the stakeholder model, self-service machines and something very exciting
price and value. There is this one sentence that has got stuck to my mind since, and it is "price is what you pay and value is what you get.”

I learned about marketing thinking & technology based self- service in service businesses. What is markting, were we asked.....
We should mention all the examples of self service, that would come to our mind. Some of them were: billing processes, payment, home banking, fuelling etc.

Today was about branding and communications and on this occasion I read the article about branding. I think it's pretty awesome that Dominos negative spiral can be turned into something positive only by making use of branding. And their online sales increased by 74% from 2008 to 2009. The effect branding has on the company is huge...

This day was about design thinking... Why is it relevant? Design thinking is user centered, collaborative, optimistic and experimental. The five phases of the design process: discovery, interpretation, ideation, experimentation and finally evolution.

I heard about marketing communications & communication channels & word of mouth. After this, two Indonesian women came in and gave us some educational talks about Indonesia. One of them were talking about an app called GoJek and the history behind it and how storytelling through social media is a very effective. At first I could not see the meaning of learning about the different travel destinations in Indonesia, but when it began to deal with how branding played a major role in relation to the GoJek app, I understood the purpose of the lecture...

Today I have learned something new stof about communication. What is the purpose of communication? And how can the customers be engaged?
It is relevant due to our group assignment about IKEA, to find out where the communications can be better.
We talked also about commercials, and we should think about the best of them we have seen in recent years? Many of them were shown in front of the class.
