"...And He Shall Appear" | Micaiah
“As if I would keep the dog for this Grail War. No, my options have notably increased, and for the far better.”
At least for himself. It was probably putting the priestess in a steadily worsening position. A Lancer winning the Grail War was a notably unlikely idea, considering their horribly poor luck, so Micaiah was already at a treacherous disadvantage, one that her enemy was aware of no less. She was already starting off this Grail War on a bad foot.
“My apologies, I did not have the time to lollygag about like you and your dog. There were matters that needed to be attended to in preparation for the Grail War. Considering my newly appointed role within it, I have taken quite a bit more responsibility now.”
“Yes, there are quite a few more changes we must discuss, since it is…proper.”
He raised his right hand up for her to see, the crimson marks bleeding red for her to see.
“First and foremost, I am now a participant in this Holy Grail War separate from you. The Lancer is now completely yours. Upon making physical contact with him following this meeting, you will gain your seals. Remember this, for it is your only chance to escape the fate that awaits you.”
Which was to say, in his eyes, she was nothing more than a corpse. All she required was the knife in her chest to finish the job, and he was more than willing to put it there. Or perhaps he would leave that as a test for his new servant. Either way, the priestess was not going to survive.
[ She continued to frown at him. If she kept running into him, her face would stay like that forever probably. Even if her servant was a Lancer, she still had some positive feeling in her. She could escape this fate, though. All she had to do was avoid Lancer until he found a master. Could she even be his master? He tried way too hard to push her out of this war, thinking that she was doing this for him.
As much as she loved him, it wasn't entirely for him.
Even so, Micaiah could be considered a reliable magus especially with the level she was on. She couldn't get cocky, though. That would be the biggest mistake she could ever make. She runs her fingers through her hair, eyeing the priest. ]
We weren't lollygagging. You weren't there, so you wouldn't have known what we were doing. [ They had mostly covered their territory. This school was way too big. Is that why the Grail chose this setting, or was it the energy that other students possessed? This school wasn't normal at all. ]
So, you are a participant in this war. [ At least she won't feel sorry about hurting him. He was a powerful opponent though, but so was the maiden herself. ] So, then, who's the overseer of the war?
