heyyy!! i just wanted to ask if you could do theodore x reader where theo is like really really jealous because of harry flirting with reader, even when they should be "casual" and one day he kinda snaps and conjures fight with harry..
About Bloody Time!
Summary: You and Theodore agreed to keep things casual-until you started going out with Potter. Theo insisted he wasn't jealous. He definitely wasn't secretly watching your dates. He was completely fine… right up until the day he snapped.
Warnings: Mentions of blood and bone breaking, swearing, and Theo being a jealous idiot. Fluffy in the end.
A/N: Sorry this took me so long to write. I rewrote it like 3 times. Anyways- thanks for the request! I had fun writing this one 🤭

Theodore Nott
Pretty boy.
Bastard.
That was the only way to describe Theodore Nott.
Months ago, the arrangement had seemed simple.
You had just gotten out of a relationship. He wanted something with no strings attached.
No labels.
No feelings.
No expectations.
Just fun.
It had worked.
At first.
Until his fingers lingered on your waist after every kiss.
Until he started waiting for you outside classes.
Until he silently slipped your favorite chocolate onto your desk after a difficult exam.
Until "casual" started looking suspiciously like dating.
Neither of you acknowledged it.
Because acknowledging it meant ruining it.
Theo was halfway through breakfast when he saw Harry Potter laughing with you.
His fork paused.
Harry leaned closer, saying something that made you throw your head back with a laugh.
Theo looked away.
Didn't matter.
You weren't his girlfriend.
Five minutes later he looked back.
Harry was still smiling at you.
Theo suddenly wasn't hungry anymore.
"You alright?"
Mattheo looked across the table.
"You've been glaring at Potter for ten minutes."
"I'm not glaring."
"You've bent your spoon."
Theo looked down.
The metal utensil had folded almost completely in half.
"...Shut up."
It became impossible not to notice.
Harry walked you to Herbology.
Harry saved you a seat in Charms.
Harry carried your books after Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Everywhere Theo looked...
There was Potter.
Potter making you smile.
Potter making you laugh.
Potter existing.
Theo hated it.
Hated the fact that Harry could do all the things Theo wanted to do without pretending they were meaningless.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
"You know," Pansy said one afternoon, "you could just ask her out."
Theo scoffed.
"We're casual."
Pansy blinked.
"You look one inconvenience away from committing murder."
"I don't care who she spends time with."
At that exact moment Harry reached over and tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
Theo's jaw clenched so hard it hurt.
Pansy snorted.
"Sure."
A week later, Harry caught you outside the library.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"I was wondering..."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Hogsmeade this Saturday?"
Your smile softened.
"I'd like that."
Theo heard every word.
Because of course he did.
Because Merlin apparently hated him.
He stood frozen behind the bookshelf until you both walked away.
Saturday.
You were going on a date.
With Potter.
His chest felt strangely hollow.
That night, sleep refused to come.
Every time Theo closed his eyes...
He imagined Harry holding your hand.
Harry kissing you.
Harry looking at you the way Theo wasn't allowed to anymore.
Because he'd been the one who insisted.
No relationships.
Idiot.
Merlin, he was an idiot.
Saturday arrived.
Theo had absolutely no intention of following you.
Absolutely none.
So naturally...
He found himself walking through Hogsmeade thirty minutes later.
Blaise caught him hiding behind the window of Honeydukes.
"You are aware stalking is generally frowned upon?"
"I'm not stalking."
"You've been staring through that window for five minutes."
"I'm buying chocolate."
"You haven't gone inside."
"..."
"You've got it bad."
Theo hated that Blaise was right.
Across the street, Harry handed you a butterbeer.
You smiled.
The same smile that used to be his.
Something ugly twisted in Theo's chest.
Harry reached out, brushing foam off the corner of your lip with his thumb.
That was it.
Something inside Theo snapped.
"Potter."
Harry turned.
"Nott."
You froze.
"Theo?"
Harry frowned.
"Everything alright?"
Theo ignored him.
He looked only at you.
"You look happy."
You blinked.
"I am."
The words shouldn't have hurt.
They did.
Harry stepped forward.
"We were actually just heading—"
"I wasn't talking to you."
Harry's expression hardened.
"I think you should leave."
Theo laughed.
"Should I?"
"Yeah."
"You've known her for what?"
Harry frowned.
"A couple of weeks?"
"And suddenly you're taking her on dates?"
Harry looked confused.
"I asked her because I like her."
Theo's fists clenched.
Harry continued calmly.
"I don't see why that's your concern."
"It's my concern because—"
Theo stopped himself.
Because what?
Because she was yours?
She wasn't.
Not officially.
Not anymore.
Harry crossed his arms.
"You told everyone you two weren't together."
Theo stayed silent.
"You don't get to push someone away and then get angry when someone else treats them right."
The words landed like punches.
Theo felt every single one.
Harry wasn't mocking him.
He wasn't insulting you.
He was telling the truth.
And somehow...
That hurt even more.
Theo looked at you.
"Do you like him?"
You hesitated, looking at Harry before looking back at Theo.
"I...don't know."
His stomach dropped.
"I was trying to move on."
Move on.
From him.
Merlin.
He'd done this.
Harry gently placed a hand on your shoulder.
Theo saw red.
Without thinking—
His fist flew.
Crack.
Harry stumbled backward, clutching his jaw.
"Theo!"
Your voice echoed across the street.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"
Theo stared at his own fist.
He hadn't even realized he'd thrown it.
Harry wiped blood from his lip.
"...Bloody hell."
People had started gathering.
Theo didn't care.
He looked only at you.
Your disappointment hurt far more than his bruised knuckles.
"I didn't mean..."
"You punched him!"
"I know."
"Why?"
Silence.
"You don't even want to be with me."
More silence.
Your voice broke.
"So why?"
Theo finally whispered,
"Because I couldn't stand watching him look at you."
Everything stopped.
"I couldn't stand watching him make you laugh."
He swallowed hard.
"I couldn't stand seeing him hold your hand."
His voice cracked.
"I couldn't stand knowing someone else was giving you everything I was too much of a coward to give you."
Your eyes widened.
Theo laughed bitterly.
"I kept telling myself we were casual."
He shook his head.
"But every time he smiled at you..."
"It felt like he was stealing something that had already become mine."
He closed his eyes.
"And the worst part?"
"I had absolutely no right to feel that way."
Harry looked between the two of you before sighing.
"...Right."
He rubbed his jaw.
"I'm going to leave before he punches me again."
He looked at you.
"For what it's worth..."
"I hope he doesn't waste this second chance."
Then Harry walked away.
Leaving the two of you alone.
Theo refused to look up.
"I'm sorry."
Nothing.
"I was terrified."
Still nothing.
"My parents hated each other."
His voice barely rose above a whisper.
"I promised myself I'd never let anyone have that kind of power over me."
He laughed bitterly.
"And then you happened."
Slowly, you stepped closer.
"You idiot."
"I know."
"You broke Harry's jaw."
"...I know."
"You followed me to Hogsmeade."
"...Maybe."
"You've been jealous for weeks."
He sighed.
"...Months."
Despite yourself, you laughed.
Theo finally looked up.
"I don't want casual anymore."
"No?"
"No."
"I want to hold your hand in public."
"I want to walk you to class."
"I want everyone to know you're the girl I choose."
He stepped closer.
"If you'll still have me."
You studied him for a long moment.
Then you reached for his hand.
"You owe Harry an apology."
"I do."
"And you're taking me on a proper date."
"I can do that."
"And if you ever tell me we're 'casual' again..."
Theo smiled for the first time all day.
"I don't think I'll ever be capable of calling us casual again."
You rolled your eyes before pulling him down into a kiss.
When you finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours.
"So..."
"So?"
"Am I allowed to call you my girlfriend now?"
You smiled.
"About time, Theodore Nott."
He grinned.
"Yeah."
"About bloody time."
