My spectrum of reactions towards the gifs I’m seeing about “the return episode” includes, but are not limited to:

- Marge Simpson’s irritated noise - Saying “No” in various tones repeatedly out loud - Stretching my arm out to physically distance myself from my phone screen

It seems like Mickey is already falling victim to a special kind of over-villainizing that sometimes happens in a long-running show, often when the writers need to find a way to work an actor out of the story…. Both Mickey and Ian are extremely complex (and beautifully portrayed) characters, but you can’t deny Mickey’s true love for Ian in season 5. He went to great lengths to try to please Ian (his formal coming out and denial of his father, for example), and then went even further as he tried desperately to handle a difficult situation he couldn’t punch his way out of (Ian’s illness). Mickey doesn’t always do what’s best or legal, but he’s shown serious love and dedication to both Ian and their relationship.

Apparently I started watching Shameless one year ago today. I love my tol and the greater awareness I now have about abusive relationships, but I am so disappointed in the show and the fandom. I'm so glad to be done with this whorephobic, homophobic, racist, sexist, stereotyping show and fandom.

The show is hopeless. Now that I’ve seen how they intend to portray Mickey, I don’t even care anymore. I’d rather place my love and attention somewhere that deserves it.

On top of it, the fandom is unbelievably toxic. Everyone is completely right to be upset with the way this show is treating Mickey, let alone everyone else, but the amount of negativity is just not healthy for me. I want my memories of my time with this show to be left positive.

So, in short, I’m out. My WIP is officially abandoned and I’m not going to be posting here. The queue will run for a while and after that this blog will be pretty much dead. Even if I occasionally reblog something here, it won't be active again.

This is just my opinion.

Yes, I saw the #asknoelaboutnoel thing and I understand how frustrating this situation can be. You also need to understand that there must be a good reason to explain why Noel is staying silent. He is not a mean person, we all know it, and he’s probably not taking pleasure in seeing his fans in this situation. Now that being said, he also has contracts to respect and that’s not something to take lightly. If you’re not allowed to talk about it, you’re not allowed to talk about it, that’s it. It’s now been months and he’s still drowning in questions about him coming back to Shameless, the fact that he hasn’t answered is not insignificant. In order to respect him, we need to respect his silence, let’s be patient and support him in his other projects. Let me remind you that TMNT2 is coming out in a few months, and we all know that this is a movie that is close to his heart (he is a Ninja Turtles fan, can you imagine how excited being part of this adventure must be for him!) and maybe it’s time to remind him that he is not ONLY Mickey Milkovich for us, but Noel Fisher, an amazing actor that we all love so much, and that we support him in all of his projects !   

Last but not least, yes Noel is someone discreet, yes we can spend weeks without seeing his cute face, but we also need to respect this choice: he is a private person, who is leading a normal life with his fiancée Layla, away from the cameras.
