I hate to say it, but I don't think Morty would've been THAT much better off without Rick. If Rick never showed up, his parents would've kept neglecting him, his classmates would've kept ignoring him, and he would've grown up to be a sad, lonely adult with a dead-end job and a vague sense of bitterness toward the people who wronged him.

That doesn't mean Rick's abuse was GOOD for him, but Rick didn't exactly barge into a happy childhood, either. Morty was doomed to be a non-factor in everyone's lives.

stopped at a gas station for coffee this morning. i’m in heaven. (the minute i walked in i checked the toy section for rick and morty stuff cause ive seen it at similar places and found nothing but as we left my dad pointed out the bongs)

i watched romeo and juliet for the first time in class today. movie was okay, kinda mid. it was cute until i found out romeo was like 17-20 and juliet was like 13??? the pinnacle of love and romance is between a child and a nearly grown ass man?? in modern day juliet wouldve been in the 7-8th grade and romeo about to graduate. its disgusting and it genuinely pisses me off bro. the girls in my class were like "omg my standards r thru the roof now" "if a hot guy loved me so much he killed himself bc he thought i was dead i woildnt care how old he is" thats so fucking sad. idgaf if its fiction juliet was a child, not even a proper teenager. her only options was between a dude in his 20's apparently and another guy slightly younger than the other guy. her entire life is decided for her and when shes finally out of it shes stuck in a predatory relationship w some weirdo.

when we got out of class and they were saying allat i was like "ok so pedophilia is okay when the guys hot" and they said yes. like its insensitive asf to anyone trapped in that kinda situation. idc if they were joking or being srs either way its fucked up
