what if you were a player who was drafted by a franchise that no longer exists and had a repeated injury issue in different seasons that kept you off the ice and then you bet on yourself as a UFA in Philly for one year and then you signed a five year contract as Flyer in January of said one year and when you signed your contract you needed a witness so you called up your teammate who actually has been close friends with one of your former teammates and he let you come over and be your witness for your contract and when it came time for your 30th birthday he made sure you had a cake and balloons and celebrated with you and on the Instagram story he posted of you with said cake and balloons his happy face is just barely visible in the windows and the fond look you’re giving him as he takes your picture is obvious
