Returning to the Ironwood had been an obvious choice when he escaped from the sea, though he’d admit to having spent a bit longer on Midgard trying to figure out how to function in a humanoid than was perhaps necessary. Still, eventually, he made his way home. 

Being in the Ironwood was odd, years of only knowing the sea made the woods seem far less welcoming than it had when he was young and it was the only home he’d known. “Mother,” he called, trusting that to woods would see too it she was aware of his presence though he was unsure if it would know who he was given the last time he was within this realm he’d only ever been in his natural form.

Though father seems to care for all animals.” he was listening as his brother spoke. “Fur isn’t too bad, just not a fan of when people I don’t know or like try to pet me like I am some dog,” he never let anybody outside his family or people he cared for stroke his fur. “Least most people outside family don’t want to pet scales.” 

“So am I. I suggest biting them when they try, though your bites do have less of a sting to them then mine.” He grinned, venom was yet another benefit to being a serpent and not some other animal. “I’m sure some might want to pet me. I don’t think I’d even notice if they did unless they tried doing so on my head given my size, I’m sure I've not noticed fish rubbing against me before and they tend to be bigger than human hands.”

Jor has two methods of dealing with people who try bother him. The first is just ignoring it because it doesn’t matter and very few care to consistently bother him and the second is biting them because they tend to just die after that.

Jormunandr took it carefully, eyes darting between the flower and Spring. "It's very pretty," he commented, turning it about in between two of his fingers. It was odd to be holding something so small fragile but he didn't think he minded it.

“Thor isn’t always the brightest.” The wolf shrugged. Fenrir was looking at his brother. But he knew that was harmless compared to other things. It wasn’t like what Odin had done. Fenrir just wanted to live a long life with his family and he didn’t want to die. Fenrir was murderous in nature to anybody who wasn’t family. The wolf was hoping that none of it came to past. Maybe if he didn’t eat Odin than maybe things would be okay. Though he still hated Odin and did want him gone. He still wanted to be the one to do it. Though he knew many his siblings thought the same.

“To be fair to him I was a cat at the time. The person who dared him had changed me into one but kept my actual weight so he couldn’t possibly succeed. He actually did pretty good,” he had slightly lifted a paw which was more than most could ever hope to succeed at. Jormungandr wasn’t exactly light given his size. “it wasn’t fun, I don’t know how you live with all that fur.” He scrunched up his face at the thought of it. The warmth was nice but everything else about it had been enough to make him glad he had scales instead.

Thor offered a small, genuine smile at the reminder of just how large his nephew could grow in his true form. It was too bad they had to be enemies at the end of time. 

“Come drink with me,” he offered, giving Jor’s shoulder a little squeeze. The same sort of squeeze he’d give Loki, were he here. “We are family. If the fates tell us we must fight, I should like to know we once were friends. Come.” 

He guided the young man into his home, toward a wooden table and gestured for him to sit. 

“I have Loki’s favorite mead,” he went on. “I’ve been saving it for the right day. I think this is that day.” 

“Okay,” and he followed, unable to come up with a reason not to if it was what Thor wanted. Family was always a weak spot for him, though he’d rarely thought of any outside his immediate family as such given their usual distaste for him and his siblings.

“Perhaps it is, I’ve never had mead before,” he confessed as he took a seat. He’d had any form of alcohol really, even like this poisons did nothing to him and therefor alcohol likely wouldn’t have an effect either.

In another world maybe he’d have tried it anyways, at the behest of Loki or Fenrir as a mark of his growth despite it’s lack of effectiveness. Now though trying it as part of this odd bonding moment between him and his uncle seemed right enough.

Jor doesn't really want to know about it, he'll cross that bridge if it comes to it but honestly he's never really had any biological drive to reproduce so it's never been something he's considered even in his actual form.
