Made a last-minute trip south to Dollywood yesterday and got to get a few final laps on this version of Lightning Rod.

For those unaware, Dollywood announced that Lightning Rod will close for refurbishments on October 30th to "replace its existing launch system with a high-speed chain lift."

Love getting home from a day of snowboarding to find out I had the lens cap on my GoPro each time I recorded the slope’s brand new ski run. Cool. Awesome.

A warm and very rainy Thursday today. Lookin’ at snow cams of my local ski slopes.

Kinda disappointing seeing my childhood ski slope Paoli Peaks hardly tried to remain open this winter, while Perfect North Slopes is chugging along squeezing out every operating day it can, despite it still raining. Global warming sure is hitting hard.

I think I'm the only nerd I know that cares about tiny details like this, but I'm soooo happy I waited until I found a motion blur plugin to smooth out the high shutter speed look of GoPro videos before editing and uploading these videos.

Wish I could replace the Ice Breaker POV with the smoothed version, but whatever. Kraken looks so nice with the effect added~
