“I am always sure.” He said, one corner of his mouth twitching in a grin. “Trust me, I’ve had a lot worse.” He looked around the small room they were locked in. No windows, a single locked door, one swinging lampshade… “Not the grandest of accommodations really, we must speak to the managers.” He glanced her over, checking for injury. “A flower shop, on Earth I presume? BUt why would they want you…”
“Oh, probably to stop me foiling their evil plans and designs before sending them fleeing with their tails between their legs. If they have tails. Or legs.” He sighed. “Would have been nice if they’d let me discover what their evil plans were first…” He broke off as the door began to swing open.
“Earth of course.” she retorted with a nod, though the situation of the pair being trap in a room by these beings with no windows and only a swinging lampshade and a locked door. She was afraid, though she didn’t show it ( she was too concerned for his safety ). “ – and I haven’t the foggiest, mate. Your guess is as good as mine is.” As soon as the door swung open, Jamie jumped and moved closer to the man in the multi-colored jacket. “You.” a voice said directly to the man in the room with her, “Come.” Jamie couldn’t see what the voice was coming from. She grabbed the man;s shoulder, “Don’t go with them. It’s gotta be a trick.” she whispered.
“Hmm, gravity feels Earth normal, but really we could be anywhere.” He muttered to himself. He moved to stand protectively in front of the smaller woman as the voice echoed through the room. “Come where? I didn’t want to come here in the first place, so I’ve no idea why I should be so inclined as to come anywhere further with you.” He informed the person, whoever they were, acidly.
The being seemed to pause briefly, as if surprised their orders weren’t being obeyed. Then they spoke again. “Come. Now.” “ The Doctor shook his head. “What, and leave these charming rooms? The company in here is far preferab-” He cut off with a short cry as there was a sudden flash of light and pain, bringing him down to his knees.
