'Stay Tonight' a song about missing someone who won't come back
Stay Tonight is a song I wrote for a man I once loved and lost to psychosis and mental illness. It arrived five years after he disappeared from my life, long after I had accepted that my love would never be returned.
The song lives in that fragile space between memory and longing—the place you find yourself in late at night when a voice you thought you'd forgotten suddenly comes back to you. It's about wishing someone would return after everything has already fallen apart. He never got to hear this song.
Driven by pulsing rhythms and dreamy synthesizer pads, Stay Tonight remains my favorite track from our debut EP, Left on Voicemail. The record is a collection of love letters to absence, exploring what it means to lose love through psychosis, illness, and the slow distance that grows between two people who were never meant to stay.
TOP 3: video game soundtracks that inspire me as a bedroom pop artist
"I hear your voice when I'm alone And babe I swear it feels like you were never gone I hear your voice delicately And babe I swear it feels like you're still here with me"

Soundtracks That Inspire Me as an Artist: Oxenfree
Oxenfree is one of my favorite indie games of all time, and its soundtrack has been a huge source of inspiration for me as an artist. With its retro synth textures and atmospheric, minimalist aesthetic, the music of Oxenfree perfectly captures the creative space I'm currently exploring.
As I work on my debut album—a record about my first year at university, the best year of my life before psychosis—I found myself drawn to Oxenfree's production style and the unique atmosphere it creates.
To me, Oxenfree feels like the perfect inspiration. The game is about friendship, youth, and all the uncertainty that comes with it. Its soundtrack evokes a very specific feeling, one that makes us reflect on both the beautiful and difficult moments that define our younger years.
'Under the Rain,' a gay love song about falling in love and forgetting the world.

The Dream Was Never Fame
When I was in university, I spent my nights in front of a computer, writing and producing songs in Logic Pro X. My goal was simple: learn as much as I could until I felt ready to release my music online.
I spent years learning, practicing, and dreaming about becoming an indie artist. Fame was never really the point. What I wanted was the freedom—and the skills—to create the kind of music I loved.
Now, years later, I finally feel capable of making whatever I want. To me, that's already a dream come true. Back then, all I could do was dream. Now I get to dream and bring those creative ideas to life at the same time.
I'll always be grateful for that.
coffee and music, two things I love.
