i often think about how—using the context of wicked—when dorothy returns to oz on multiple occasions within the original oz books, glinda is confronted with elphie’s death and the person who “killed” her every single time. so she basically can never move on even if she tried, and at some point—many years into the future, when dorothy hasn’t returned in a while—a part of glinda finds herself hoping she will show up soon so she can vividly relive her last moments with elphie once again
