Remnant Memories - A short SoudaBuki comic

This is very headcanon based, but I like to think remnant kazuichi and ibuki ran into each other during the tragedy, with Ibuki using a scrapped machine weapon from him. She found it in the rubble, and used it to her liking to blast sound waves at a decimal impossibly high towards her victims that it would practically explode their head from the impact on their eardrums. I wanted her to do something more impactful during the tragedy than just? evil music? lmao. And the sound waves that kill her victim is music to her ears, in fact it's a music so beautiful to her that post-canon she itches for that feeling back.

And of course, them healing together too. Despite Ibuki's comfort for him in this, she doesn't have everything figured out either. They're both still very messed up, they just have episodes at random times, and the other one is there to help when they can. Along with everybody else on the island, of course.

Kazuichi struggles more with the thoughts that he's scared he'll somehow revert back and hurt her, which is partly why he had to go to the beach away from the bed they were sleeping in together. But Ibuki won't allow him to wallow in those thoughts for long.

Anywho, this was my first experiment at a G-nib and ink, aka the lineart was done traditionally, along with some of the screentone also being traditional. I like how it turned out for a first-go at it!

I've been thinking about VNC (bad idea)

In the sleepover scene with Louis, Domi, and Noé when they're children, it's storming outside. We see Louis staring out the window in his room while sitting in his chair, watching the rain fall and lightning strike. That was a night of security and comfort for the kids, especially for Louis, considering that he was struggling with both being a curse-bearer and just life in general.

Do you know what other scene has a stormy night?

The night Astolfo's family died.

My headcannon is that those two events happened on the same night. Because we don't know how old Astolfo actually is, the Wiki just says he's at LEAST 15. For the sake of the argument, let's say he's actually closer to 17-18.

We assume Astolfo is around the age of 10 when his family dies. If he's only a year or two younger than Noé, who is 19, then that means Noé would have been 11-12 that night. This checks out, because Louis and Domi could be around 12-13 in that scene.

Imagine just how devastating it is to know that while Astolfo is suffering through the worst moment of his life, Noé is having a sleepover with his best friends. Just adds to the angst factor.

Hey, so, uh...

Thinking about the Case Study of Vanitas.

We all remember Mikhail mentioning Noé's Teacher/the de Sade twins' Grandfather/Comte de Saint Germain talking about bringing Luna/the OG Vanitas back to life, right?

Luna was a curse-bearer when they died. Vanitas killed them because of it, and then became a doctor for vampires who are curse-bearers. Bringing them back might mean bringing back the cursed Luna, and forcing Vanitas to re-live his trauma of killing one of the only adult figures in his life to care for him (like his father before he died).

But what if Noé's Teacher brings back Louis, too?

Teacher gives me villainous vibes through and through. I gathered that he only brought Louis into his home after he was to be killed at birth because he wanted to watch and study him. Something that backs that up is how unapologetic he seemed when he killed Louis in Noé's arms.

Sure, he told Marquis Machinas that he wants "World Peace," but Lord Ruthven *also* told Chloé he wanted World Peace, and we all know how that turned out.

I think it's obvious that he has alternative intentions. Why else would he, a vampire born under the Red Moon, try so hard to save a human brought into the Blue Moon Clan and revive the Vampire of the Blue Moon, who suffered as a curse-bearers?

So who's to say that he doesn't have intentions of also reviving his dead grandson, who *also* suffered as a curse-bearer?

Maybe Luna has more profit to him because of how powerful they are.

But I think that Teacher has another motive. And that bringing Louis back will either cause Noé and Dominique to help him inadvertently, or distract them from his true goal.

Akutagawa did not need to make Atsushi bear his neck to bite him. He bit Jouno through his heavy layers of clothes less than an hour prior to that.

Noé did not need to lick Amelia's arm before biting her to read her memories. We literally see him simply bite Dominique's finger as a child and read her memories.

We know they can do it without all that extra stuff, and I promise you, most of us just want the plot, not the fan service. Thank you 🙏🏼

I saw a post comparing the old Mandela catalogs PSAs to the newer versions and a lot of comments were saying how the newer PSAs must’ve been made by alternate Gabriel because in the old PSAs its “when you see an alternate, whip out that gun and it’s on sight.” But with these new PSAs it’s hide, don’t let them in, and basically just become a sitting duck, until you either die of starvation or cave in and let them in. And I personally like that theory
