what i’m finding interesting about this is that the impetus is being put on taylor’s fans rather than examining what 1975 fans are doing about their fave’s disgusting words and actions. like, by all means i think our fandom should absolutely have these conversations and hold taylor accountable for the company she keeps, but its just very interesting* that he’s been doing this for years but people only seem to really care now because it reflects on the woman he’s involved with and the heavily female fanbase that follows her. its not like the 1975 are an unknown indie band, where are the exposes on why their fans should be distancing themselves from the guy actually doing the bad things?
