I feel like the only way for me to know if a fic I wrote is good is by receiving comments on the story itself, and a lack thereof results in conclusions ranging from "maybe ppl just haven't read it" to "that story was ass."

With the most recent piece I wrote, it's definitely the second one.

And the thought has spiraled down to "let's not write that pair ever again" combined with "your writing sucks, maybe stop writing altogether and save us the time."

It cannot be helped that I've shared the story with my friends, too, who said they could not wait for it to be finished, and so far none of them has said anything. Plus, I'm too much of an a$$ to myself to consider asking them directly, because I don't want them to feel like I'm imposing it on them.

What started as a fun process, me coming back to writing after a year of break, now ended up being a sh!ty feeling to feel.

I was considering to do some fictober prompts, but now? Forget it. My writing is not even that good, the stupid little demon in my head has ever so kindly been reminding me.

All in all, not a good place to be.
