In the late 1920s, my great-grandfather Waldo rode from Scholls, Oregon, to Orange County, California and back on a Harley-Davidson JD.  He went to pick oranges, and came back with a bride, Thelma.  A few years later they went down together, and came back with a daughter, my grandmother, Marian.

Dale (my grandfather), Harlan, and Waldo.  Probably in the late 70s or early 80s.  

Harlan sold the Ford tractor two years ago, it'd fairly well died the year before that and needed more work than it was worth.  Got to drive it a few times, though.

The white building in the background originally housed chilling equipment for milk, and is now my darkroom.  I added a bigger, better deck in 2009.  Like everything else here, it isn't square, and it isn't level, but it'll be around for a long time.
