Welcome to the Towpath! The Towpath is a roughly 87 mile trail spanning across several Ohio counties. This large trail runs through several small towns and has many good fishing, photography, and wildlife observation areas!
Welcome to Petros Park in Richville, Ohio! This lake is surrounded by a beautiful little walking path. It's very easy to navigate and just goes around in one big loop. There are some tougher uphill portions but its not terrible in terms of accessiblity! There is even a little bridge at one part.
You are sure to see fishers at every spot! Small town Ohioans don't joke around when it comes to fishing, public parks like this keep the community strong.
Lake Erie!!!
Honestly wish I had taken more pics when I was there, this place is amazing! Reminds me of the beach! I didn't get to go swimming but it looked fun. I think people often underestimate just how gigantic this lake is!
Photo dump from last fall! I went to Boettler Park in Canton as recommended to me by a relative, everyone knows I love wetlands! I never uploaded the photos as I was being lazy. The trail is very easy to navigate and just the perfect length! Absolutley amazing scenery, lots of insects! Can't wait to return
Boettler Park
Collection of unknown/odd locations! I love backroads
Fun fact! Some areas of northeast Ohio are really prone to flooding! These are random areas nearby where I live. Backroads, forests, anything can flood!
WOW! I went with my mom and stepdad for a 4+ mile hike at the Newport Wetlands! These wetlands are GORGEOUS! I can't tell you how amazing it was! The trails were very easy to navigate, there was a boardwalk portion! I will warn, the non-boardwalk part of this trail was very narrow at times, with lots of hills and uneven terrain.
I was shocked the further and further we went! There were wild daffodils, thousands of tadpoles, a huge lake... it goes on and on. Fantastic place to see damselflies and birds! We actually ran into another photographer on our journey with a camera specifically for bird photos. This trail was full of so many beautiful things!
I hope to visit many more times!
I got a lot of photos at this one, this was a pretty long trail with a lot of interesting features compared to where I typically go.
I love living on the countryside. I just wish I had the land to be like my neighbors.
Yellow Creek! While driving on the backroads of Akron, exploring during my time visiting here, I photograph the areas I find interesting. This spot along Yellow Creek Road was very pretty, I had to pull my car over to the side of a bridge. I think it was worth it!

When I die, bury me at the Jackson Bog. My favorite place to be, a mind blowing, peaceful, corridor into the wetlands of Ohio. This place is beautiful all year around, though I've never been in winter. I could talk about this bog for days! It has solidified wetlands as my favorite places.

Howdy! Interested in seeing some of the architecture Ohio has to offer? Depicted above we have the pristine Glamorgan Castle, the gothic St. Mary's Parish, and the wonderful Bolivar Dam! I had never visited Glamorgan Castle before this- when I learned there was a CASTLE just a drive away? I was there so fast with my camera in hand. It was amazing! You can book a tour at this castle as well, they are usually open Friday! The St. Mary's Parish was also a shocker! On a journey driving, from the highway you can see it peeking above the city! Building after building, industrial city colors and suddenly this massive gothic dream is there! Unfortunately I did not get to see the inside, they were closed, but I'm positive it's just as amazing.
There are a lot of dams in northeast Ohio, they are one of the most peaceful places to visit in my opinion. Standing above the roaring water is an amazing experience at the Bolivar dam, it is incredibly tall and words can't describe it! I will definitely post photos in the future.
Built in 1904, Glamorgan Castle is Alliance, Ohio's most recognizable landmark serving as a place for weddings and various community events.

Geese at Silver Park
The Canada Goose annoys LOTS of Ohio residents. They are protected under federal law and it is only legal to kill them with a permit. Many find their populations obnoxious and disruptive, leaving waste on trails and sidewalks. Some folks find them to be a staple however! The more you know.

Hiking at Hosak's cave! This place is stunningly green and definitely a must see in northeast Ohio. The cavern is WAY steeper and taller than it looks, absolutely otherwordly. There was lots of wildlife as well, the place was crawling with fungus and frogs!
Anyway who put that beer bottle there? Quite rude!
Rest in peace Aubrey Parsons.
