How-To find your Motivation
Motivation. I see that word all over the place, not sure if it’s because I am a Coach in the fitness industry or if it is actually everywhere. If you’ve followed me for awhile you know I have been on my fitness journey for almost 5 years, having my hand in several different kinds of activities and also battling myself some days when I simply just don’t feel like giving any effort. I have some tricks that get me up and in the game on those days! Here are a few of my go-to kick myself in high gear, workout mode!
1. Pinterest.
I am SERIOUS! Type in “fitness Motivation” and when you see rock hard, sweaty bodies who are slaying it, it’s hard to continue to just “not feel like it” and go! Chances are, those babes have had the same I don’t wanna attitude you have some days. Its good to VISUALIZE what you are striving for and keep that in front of you!
2. Music
Do you need a new playlist? Something different---I have a song that makes me feel like a BADASS everytime I play it, without fail. I’ll share it here for you, no judgies! ;) Some days I feel like HARD ROCK, other days I want nothing more than Timeflies serenading me, then other days I may be needing some Rap/Hip Hop to get me in the zone. Whatever works--change it up!

3. Need a new program?
If there is one thing I have learned--when I feel burnt out and I’m not looking forward to doing another workout that I’ve done so many times before, I need to switch gears and find something that will feed my soul and keep my body guessing to avoid plateaus. I love lifting always, sometimes I need a run or agility work so I have programs that lead me through it so I don’t have to design it myself and risk slacking off---when someone you don’t know is telling you to go on your TV screen...you don’t question it, you do it. Funny huh?
4. Peek your “Before” Picture
I trust that you have taken yours. As scary as it may be--it is worth it. Some days I look at mine or take new ones and that motivates me---what’s even more motivating is the AFTER picture! Take Measurements too! You should measure:waist, hips, thighs, chest and, upper arms.
5. Workout Clothes
Does it make you feel like a badass or an ass?
Wearing workout clothes will increase your confidence, for sure, so don’t wait a second and get yourself a motivational T-shirt or a new pair of sport shorts. Believe me, when you look like somebody who works out, you will feel and act like somebody who works out!
And that’s a fact!
