we are pleased to announce that we have just welcomed DANIEL MICHIHIRO ICHII to our family. You may also hear them simply referred to as MIEL. They’re a ‘93 LINER and HOT ;) MESS of MON:STAR. Many have already commented on how much they look like NAKAMOTO YUTA.
was born on 10/10 and this headass peacock won’t let anyone forget it ! a ‘93 liner ( *dj khaled vc* another one ! ) which makes him 26 in int’l age !
third child, second son to the owner of one of japan’s leading confectionary conglomerates. so a literal Sugar Baby. in other words, his family is rich as god, and by extension so is he ! but he only gets to inherit stocks and not the actual company b/c that’s his older bro’s job, u feel.
so why is he in the kpop industry ? who the hell knows !

tw death ( of a family member ) — his father died some wishy-washy time in the past that i haven’t specified before 2008. as such, his remaining family moved to japan to support his older brother becoming the head of the company. end tw death
his mom started to date someone who had fingers in the kpop industry pie, and so daniel became a *wink wink handshake* atlas records trainee™.
but he trained for five years ! he knows his shit and he deserves to be here just as much as anyone else.
tw racism — people forget, but in his first couple of years in mon:star, he was actually pretty quiet. as a japanese member who wasn’t that good at japanese ( he accidentally introduced himself as “big sister michi” the first time they visited japan, and japanese mon:cheri still call him “auntie” because of it ). after that incident, knetz tore him apart for being “ a useless member ” and whenever he would say smth, they’d call him an alien, space cadet, 4d personality, etc, and while it doesn’t bother him anymore, it def used to in the past. :pensive: end tw racism
nowadays, aliens and cryptids are his Shit. has had vlives where he just went off on tangents to talk about alien theories.
he studied the shit out of korean as a trainee and into their rookie years, to the point that his korean now is good enough to the point that if u close your eyes, u might actually mistake him as a native speaker at times. after mon:star’s 2016 and 2017 scandals, especially, he’s stepped up. he was always variety-savvy, but now he won’t shut up even if u tell him to.
hasn’t been in any major scandals, though he has been in a few close calls. but it’s hard to get in a dating scandal when barely any of your relationships last past a month uwu.
but is also the type that remains friends with most of his exes,, tell me how that works.
but because of how good he is at variety despite being a foreign member, and his lack of scandals in the last seven years, he’s surprisingly well-liked by the korean public. what a plot twist u were, dan. good one.
dramatic, vain, easily pouty, but also can be one of the best times youve ever had ;)

tw cats, tw death — cat dad. used to have three cats, now has two. an orange cat named injeolmi “mimi” ichii and a little black kitten named ellie ichii. jasmine ichii passed away in 2019 from old age ( she was deaf and had really bad vision ) and he was rlly torn up abt it. jasmine was a stray, ellie was a rescue, and mimi was a friend’s who had to move and couldn’t take her with them. mimi + ellie = miel which is the only reason ellie is named what she is. literally treats his cats like he’s their dad and they’re his children, lowkey strange as hell when u witness it for the first time. end tw
lives alone. his apartment is his happy place.
will try anything once, will do anything so that someone else who feels uncomfortable abt it doesn’t have to ( aegyo, embarrassing himself, eating weird food, etc ).
clingy n attention-seeking. probably visits rookies and trainees once in a while so that he can feel like a God.
