I will say this about a bona fide killer (2026) : I'm at the first episode and don't like the directing work at all. They fail to navigate through the genres of the show, it's very jarring or worse : off putting.

When Bo Na takes the first shot after her maternity leave, I had to roll my eyes. I promise you, you didn't have to do all that : sniper work is already impressive (scary) and I wish this scene carried more of a dark / serious ambiance instead of something spectacular / grand.

Add to that, they try way too hard to make the family moments cutesy and I feel like it undercuts / unserve the cast's acting.

I'll persevere but mostly because I didn't watch When the stars gossip and I'm overdue for a drama with Hyo Jin.

Even more interested because of the ending ?? Him looking back at a photo of her when the story breaks on the news that Kingfisher is back...If he knows and completly accepts it...oh baby (that would be soooo hot, soo sexy)

i think "i don't love you. i don't know you." is so essential to the Romance Of It All and i'm not kidding. it's why i also think it wouldn't actually change much if MJ did get her memories back, and why i personally disagree with the theory floating around that MJ might get her memories back if she kissed Peter as herself.

because chances are, you don't know the person you thought your heart would beat out of its chest for when you were seventeen. you don't love them. maybe you broke up, maybe you never got together in the first place, but odds are good you're not still together five, ten years later. odds are good you don't even think about them, most days. that's Normal. that's growing up.

it doesn't make what you felt when you were seventeen less real, or less impactful. but there are things you can never recapture about your past self or your past loves, even when there isn't a literal memory spell getting in the way. some things once lost are gone forever, and they're not coming back.

we see Peter's grief when MJ separates herself from the girl Peter loved, and MJ's genuine empathy and regret in that moment. and in a lesser movie that would have been the end of it, and it would have been chance or circumstance that brought them back together again.

but that isn't the end of it! she makes the choice to invite Peter up to the apartment. she makes the choice to say "what we had is gone, but that doesn't mean we can't build something new". it's not romance, it's not love, but it's the opportunity to build something new between them, as the people they are now, and not the versions of themselves that Peter has been clinging to all these years.

I'm hoping to hear from them on Wednesday because I find it deeply weird to call me to schedule an interview after I successfully completed the tests, to then say you'll send me the address by email just to not do it. Then, when I call because it's been a week and i'm starting to get worried, my phone calls can't get through ; like it doesn't even ring before the call is cut. So, I'm hoping that they were on holiday and will come back to me on Wednesday. I also know that this is wishful thinking. I'm just really, really mad because we set up an appointment : you didn't have to call me back and okay, if you found someone in the meantime, call me back or send me an email so I don't waste my time.
