“You’re a busy working woman. I’m sure you’ll find some time soon, but from another workaholic, sometimes you have to make that time for yourself. No one will hand it to you,” she smiled, putting a hand on Carol’s shoulder- realizing halfway through the gesture that Carol was much taller than her.
Jane was half tempted to ask Carol for a lift but… That would be tacky. She just missed the feeling of flying. Probably different being carried rather than hanging onto a hammer to do it. “Anyways, here’s me officially making you take some time. Follow me.”
She kept a brisk pace to match Carol’s stride as they made their way a few blocks south to the sushi joint.
Carol pursed her lips as she nodded in agreement. She should make time for it, right? Then again, making time for personal things felt... wrong. As a superhero you’re never really off the clock, are you?
“Thanks, Jane.”
As they came up to the sushi place, Carol opened the doors, able to see that the place was moderately busy. It must be really good then. “What do you usually get?” Carol asked, wanting to hear her suggestions before deciding on anything.
