@migs-mayfeld
Mayfield becomes the Ex-Con Uncle who everyone calls a different name to hide that he’s mayfield and very much alive.
do you think Mayfeld thought Din was hot? be honest.
I am inclined to say yes, the thought definitely crossed his mind. Something along the lines of "for a killer he doesn't look half bad"
Sometimes I look at Miggs Mayfeld and my brain goes "hmm... Bet I can fix him."
local prisoner gets stared down by two mandos in one day
migs mayfeld proudly telling people his mando friend (din) calls him ‘migs mir’sheb’
“Yeah, mir’sheb is the mando’a word for brave, so—“
I mentioned some time ago that I was going to be writing a Din & Migs vs. zombies fic… and though I had originally thought of setting it before the events of the movie I am now wondering if I should instead set it after. But I really can’t decide, so, I will leave it up to a vote!
Should my Din & Migs zombie story take place before or after the events of the movie?
Before
After
Leap of faith, part 2
Part 1
Mayfeld: Mando and I are such good friends, he lets me use his toothbrush when I can’t find mine!
Din: Wait, I didn’t—
Mayfeld: Such a great guy.
Din: When did you—?
Mayfeld: So selfless, so kind...
Din: I KEEP MY REFRESHER LOCKED! HOW DID YOU EVEN GET NEAR MY TOOTHBRUSH?!
I really need an episode where someone tries to take Din's helmet off and Mayfeld is like "you try and I'll ✨shoot you✨"
Do I ship them now? No.
Maybe.
I don’t know.
this was just an all-around great episode with so many fun character beats, but i just want to say that i really loved the writing and direction for mayfeld this episode. i was extremely disinterested in him (and the entire episode he starred in) in season one and was shocked by how much his scene with the imperial officer here turned me around on him. the way they portrayed trauma through his character here was just so believable and poignant. like, breakdown of that handful of scenes in the officer’s mess hall:
mayfeld sees his old commanding officer sitting in the canteen and goes from confidently striding in to recoiling and returning to din in a panic saying he can’t do the job anymore
mayfeld pulls himself together enough to get din’s feet out of the fire, only to get forced into a prolonged encounter with this man he clearly has unresolved issues with
as if he’s imagined this confrontation happening dozens of times before, mayfeld starts to pick apart the callousness he witnessed under the officer’s command—all his friends, civilians, an entire city killed—completely heedless of the danger he’s placing them all in by doing this now
and then the officer starts talking to him. gleefully telling him, in essence, that it’s all going to happen again but worse and bigger, and mayfeld’s bravado all goes up in smoke.
at first, it looks like mayfeld is trying to regulate his breathing, but as the officer keeps talking, his face starts to crumple. he starts subtly rocking back and forth. his eyes start to dart around the room. then, as the officer toasts the empire, he looks somewhere between tears and laughter, right before—
BOOM RIGHT IN THE HEART
and then the wide-eyed, tearful look he gives din afterwards, as if mayfeld is just as shocked as he is that he reacted that way
in just a few short minutes of uhhh sitting in a cafeteria, the episode packs in so much nuance and tension from a character i honestly did not expect it from at all. no larger-than-life set pieces, no spelling things out with gratuitous flashbacks or audio, just great acting and directing from a talented cast.
Mayfeld was 100% my least favorite character. But since season 2, he’s slowly risen in the ranks, and now here we are and I’m doing fanart. I’d be ok if he returned.
Local Gay Dad Turns Into Horror Movie Monster When Betrayed By Associates
Incorrect The Mandalorian Quotes
Mayfeld: Are you mad? Din: No. Mayfeld: So cleaning your blasters at 3 in the morning is just a hobby?
Theory: Mayfeld shot everyone in the officers’ mess because they had all seen Mando’s face. Mayfeld didn’t want anyone left alive who had seen under the helmet. Not just for their own operational security but because he knows how much removing the helmet means to Din.
Guys, he’s giving Mayfeld a side-eye.
HE’S GIVING MAYFELD A FUCKING SIDE-EYE I’M DEAD–
