“Go and love someone exactly as they are. then, watch how they transform into the greatest truest version of themselves. when one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered.”
— Wes Angelozzi
“You’re always you, and that don’t change, and you’re always changing, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
— The Graveyard Book By Neil Gaiman
"One more thing - take it to heart, I urge you - you too, you won't live long yourself, I swear. Already I see them looming up beside you - death and the strong force of fate, to bring you down at the hands of Aeacus' great royal son... Achilles."
- The Iliad, Book 16, Lines 996-1000. Patroclus speaks Achilles' name as he draws his last breath.
– Clarice Lispector, A Breath of Life
[TEXT ID: "I've never been free in my whole life. Inside I've always chased myself. I've become intolerable to myself. I live in a lacerating duality. I'm seemingly free, but I'm a prisoner inside of me." END ID]

If you're feeling frightened about what comes next, don't be. Embrace the uncertainty. Allow it to lead you places. Be brave as it challenges you to exercise both your heart and your mind as you create your own path toward happiness; don't waste time with regret. Enjoy the present, each moment, as it comes, because you'll never get another one quite like it. And if you should ever look up and find yourself lost, simply take a breath and start over. Retrace your steps and go back to the purest place in your heart where your hope lives. You'll find your way again.
self-control is strength. calmness is mastery. you have to get to a point where your mood doesn't shift based on the insignificant actions of someone else. don't allow others to control the direction of your life. don't allow your emotions to overpower your intelligence.
sorry for seeing the divine in the monstrous. not my fault.
