it has been some time since we’ve seen each other face to face. i find myself wondering when we will be able to speak alone on private matters. your time is dutifully being spent on containing the calamity, and i understand that burden to an extent. however, i would like to express my grievances in your tactful way of dealing with such a burden by yourself.

i mean no harm, in fact, this letter is sent with the purest of intents. i worry for you, dear princess. you hold the fate of thousands of years upon your shoulders when there are others to help guide you. i know, it cannot be easy. and there are things i will never understand. however, now is not the time to isolate yourself from the champions. they may control the divine beasts, but they are your allies in a war unknown.

you are wise, young princess, accept the help from them all, especially the hylian champion.

what was she to expect from him? sidon never strayed too far behind the young princess. (not that she complained, she loved her brother dearly) his presence became apparent when he latches himself to her leg. mipha allowed herself to let out a soft laugh. DID HE KNOW HOW MUCH SHE ADORED HIM SO? she does not hesitate to rest her hand gently on his head, “you sweet boy. i love you more.”

“ah- a merchant of sorts?” how interesting. to travel across the lands... it is one dream mipha can never achieve (mostly due to extreme temperatures that are lethal to her kind.) nevertheless, she continued,  “i suspect you have traveled far in order to reach our beautiful domain.”

“forgive my suspicion, however, the hero lives,” trident in hand, she stands defensively. she kept the stranger from approaching the domain even further. she is usually not so HOSTILE with strangers, but this had to be an EXCEPTION.   “surely two CANNOT exist at the same time, unless this is hylia’s doing,” quickly, she points her trident at the boy, mustering the courage to exclaim,  “ as princess of the zora’s, i command you show me the mark of the hero. surely you can prove yourself to me.”
