shoutout to all the kids who

- grew up smart and lost it when they got to high school and dont know what happened

- are so bright but just cant focus academically

- are told their effort isnt good enough when in reality they just dont understand

- are too shy to ask for help and go without it and therefore dont reach the potential they know they have

- are brilliant in class but underperform in exams

- have to pretend that they dont care about their grades because they constantly underperform and dont want to look stupid

I hope you see me this semester, summer and anywhere else. Looking all awesome and shit. Because you can bet your ass I’m busting mine. Using all the anger I have towards you and putting it to use in the gym. And I hope you see this face pretending not to miss you. Smiling and laughing and pretending not to give a damn about what you fucking put me through. And I hope you regret everything. I hope you think to yourself "Damn. That's what I lost? I wish I could fix shit between us..".

And you know what? You probably could. Just by looking at me for 10 seconds and apologizing to me. But I'm going to pretend that I don't give a shit and that I'm over you. I'm going to pretend that there's not a word in the world you could say to me to let you back into my life as anything more than a friend. I'm going to pretend I'm perfectly fine and 200% happy with my life. But I'm not.

Yes I'm very happy. Yes I'm content with my life. Yes I have gone on quite a few dates with other people. Yes I’ve almost dated someone else. Yes I do like someone A LOT right now. Yes I have moved on a lot more than I thought I would have by this point. It’s been over a year. But you were my entire world. So no. I'm not 100% over you. Maybe 95%. Yes the thought of you and I trying again does make me just a little bit happier. But it also makes me sad because I know it wouldn’t be the same after what we’ve been through. Also I’m not an idiot. I just know it won’t happen again. We won’t happen again.

So. Whatever. I hope you see me. And you realize what you missed out on. And I pray that you don’t put her or anyone else through what you put me through. Have a nice life <3

UPDATE: OH MY GOD THIS GROUP OF GUYS WALKED OUT OF CLASS AND STARTED FREAKING OUT OVER THE FACT THAT THERE WERE CHIPS THERE…SO ONE OF THEM STARTED HITTING THE MACHINE TO GET THEM AND THE SECRETARY WHO TRIED TO HELP ME GET MY CHIPS WALKED OVER AND THE GUY ASKED HER WHO BOUGHT THEM AND SHE SAID ‘THAT GIRL’. so he looked over, pointed at me, and yelled, across the whole lobby (which is huge btw) “I GOTCHYU GURL”

not a lot of people really understand how difficult it can be to process and respond to information with autism and/or ADHD

i get confused easily. i do things wrong. i forget how to do things i’ve already done before. i do things in weird, inefficient ways.

please try not to get frustrated with me when i move through a process slowly or clumsily, and most of all, please don’t yell at me. in these moments, i could use nothing more than patience and gentleness.
