Like yes he’s trying to demean the connection in this line by calling it “playing house” as if its all been a lie for him but even just the metaphor he used is so revealing. velvette convinced vox to dress up for her voxtsta by making a very convincing case (she definitely just blackmailed him. vox, you don't want me to tell killjoy about your alastor shrine, do you? get in the skirt.) the engagement is in-fucking-sane. a job well done for her. vox starts feeling himself soon enough and finds out that he actually does really like fucking around with the way he presents himself. he doesn't appreciate valentino immediately taking liberties, though.
