that last phone call scene with bill and mike... what was all that about? it's like [zooms in on bill's ringless finger][just wanted to check up on you][light teasing][there's more we want to remember than forget, i like that one][tender smile, soft voice][go get 'em mikey][meaningful pause] [i love you]
it’s like. bill’s face when mike calls himself an outsider in chapter 1. bill saying he had to get back up the well when mike got attacked by bowers. bill willing to sacrifice himself so everyone else could live, and mike trying to do the same in chapter 2. it’s like, mike being well aware of bill’s pull with the other losers, and having to make bill see. mike being so desperate to make bill see. it’s them trusting and loving each other enough to forgive and move on and work together despite their faults. the fucking forehead touch man. mike saying i love you, bill saying it back. it’s
None of the Losers had wanted to go back to the motel so Mike suggested they just bring blankets and pillows and go sleep on top of the hill.
Richie was the first to agree. Ben and Bev had exchanged looks and then nodded. Bill met Mike’s gaze and he wondered if that half smile playing across Bill’s face meant he was remembering too.
The days that Bill helped out stretching into nights lying in the fields staring up at the stars, their conversations occasionally interrupted by a sheep bleating, hands occasionally touching as they pointed at stars or guided the other to look at what they saw.
He shook his head to rid himself of the memories of Bill rolling over to kiss him. They weren’t the same as they were then and one gentle embrace and forehead touch meant nothing.
Richie was the first to fall asleep, curling up in his sleeping bag. Bev gently removed his glasses and then curled into Ben’s side who put his arms around her.
Bill, however, was sitting up, a short distance away from the other Losers, arms wrapped around his knees and staring up at the stars, Mike walked to sit beside him.
“Do you ever miss this?” Bill asked, softly.
“The Losers hanging out?” Mike looked back at his friends, “Always.”
“I meant,” Bill reached out and took Mike’s hand, fingers sliding between Mike’s, “those days when it was just us and we didn’t forget each other for 27 years.”
“Well, I didn’t forget you at all,” Mike pointed out and as Bill rolled his eyes, Mike raised their hands up and brushed his lips against Bill’s, “I did miss you the most.”
“Then why didn’t you call earlier?”
“And say what? “Hey, you don’t remember me but wanna come back to Derry and make out under the stars?””
“Well, I wouldn’t have led with that...”
Mike laughed then leaned over and curled his free hand around Bill’s neck. Bill met him halfway and as they kissed, it was Mike’s turn to forget about everything.
Nothing mattered except the feeling of Bill’s hand in his, the softness of Bill’s neck under his fingertips, Bill’s lips curling into a smile as the kiss deepened.
Even the thought that Bill would eventually leave Derry to go back to LA couldn’t distract Mike. For tonight, for a couple of days longer, Bill was his again.
Anyway, what I find so hilarious about this is that Mike actually did reach down to help Bev up but then Bill apparently lost his balance and stumbled into him. So instead of helping Bev, Mike grabbed hold of Bill instead so Bev had to climb out herself.
Richie froze when he saw the young man on the bridge. He was leaning on the bridge, staring at the river flowing below him.
“If you jump in I’m jumping after you,” Richie called before he could stop himself.
The man turned to face him at that and Richie wanted to kick himself as he recognized the young man.
“You’re Don,” he said coming closer, “Shit, man, I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for what?” Don rubbed his eyes angrily, “I came here for a stupid reason. I keep thinking Adrian is gonna turn up again but I know he’s dead, that bastard clown ate his heart.”
“That bastard clown killed my Adrian too,” Richie said before he could stop himself. He trusted Don though. If anyone could understand the grief and rage and pain he was feeling it would be him.
“Oh,” Don said, quietly and then looked at the carvings, “Where’s yours?”
Richie pointed to the faded R+E.
“So that clown was real,” Don shook his head, “I thought I was just going mad with grief.”
“If it makes you feel better,” Richie said leaning against the bridge, “My friends and I killed that clown.”
Don raised his eyebrows and looked almost intrigued, “I’d like to hear about that.”
“Coffee?” Richie offered.
“You paying?” Don indicated his empty pockets.
“Do I look like I’m made of money?”
“You’re Richie Tozier,” Don cracked a genuine smile for the first time, “You have to buy my silence before I tell the world all about your dirty little secret.”
“Not so secret anymore,” Richie shrugged.
“Not so dirty either,” Don mused as they turned and walked away from the bridge, “I never felt as good and as loved as I did when I was with Adrian.”
Richie hesitated but then said softly, “That’s how I felt with Eddie too.”
Eddie and Mike seem to know each other before the apocalyptic rock fight. This is how they met.
Every Saturday morning, Eddie Kaspbrak walked to the pharmacy. He’d only been old enough to do it for six months, but he already knew the way – every crack in the sidewalk, which traffic signal was broken, which was the safest intersection to cross at. His friends thought him silly (well, not Stan. Stan appreciated Eddie’s meticulous approach) and told him to “li-li-live a little” and “try crossing at Center Street instead of Main next time or will that make you explode into a million pieces?”. But Eddie was fine doing things the way he always did them. No, he wouldn’t cross at Center, because then he’d have to walk past the bus stop and the amount of germs permeating the air at a bus stop was inconceivable.
So when he was walking out of Center Street Drugstore and spotted a kid he’d never seen before walking toward him while pushing his bike, he didn’t stop. But then he hesitated, and remembered “live a little” and how impressed Bill and Richie and Stan would be if he told them he made a new friend all on his own. So he turned onto Kansas Street, pretending that was the direction he was going anyway (it wasn’t) and as he was about to cross pass with the boy, he looked up and made eye contact.
The boy smiled at him. Eddie couldn’t help but smile back – you rarely see faces that happy in Derry, Maine.

Hanbrough- Bill is a bit shorter than mike when they stand next to each other’s it’s VERY clear but bill might as well be 7 feet tall the way he’s always ready to protect Mikey from everything and anything (Mike IS the little spoon)
thinking about bill drunk...someone will look at mike the wrong way and bill is like ready to fight with a menacing look on his face but he really just looks like scrappy doo :/ the sheer passion Bill has scares them off though because this dude looks like he will bite you... like he just could go completely feral... and you're right Mike is the little spoon because he needs to be held and Bill has the urge to protect him
AU, where adult Reddie go back and forth at the Chinese restaurant about how hot Mike is now. Richie: "I mean Ben was cute like a chubby bunny, then became a knock out, but Mike was cute as a kid and is a hot son of bitch now. He totally lived up to expectations looks wise." Eddie: "He's a dream boat!" Richie: "A total dream boat." Eddie: "I literally dreamed of owning a farm together with pigs and shit, once he walked up. Dream boat." Richie: "Yeah, mikey boy you can prod me whenever you want"
Richie and Eddie teasing Ben and Mike for being hot because they're too humble and get embarrassed by it please... i just know reddie saw mike was that tall and handsome and they just 👁👄👁... also kasplonzier makes a few points. a realisation today
