Finrod no le ofreció a Curufin algo tan simple como un techo o un lugar en su mesa: le ofreció un lugar al cual llamar hogar… y Curufin tiro todo eso a un lado del camino.

Ahora Curufin, que anteriormente era quien vestía con los ropajes mas fastuosos, ahora viste ropas más simple como para reflejar que ahora si esta despojado de todo.

Finrod didn’t give Curufin something as simple as a roof over his head or a space on his table: he gave him a place to call home… and Curufin cast all of that to the wind.

Now Curufin – who used to wear the most lavish clothing – now wears simpler clothes, as if to reflect how truly dispossessed he is right now.
