" yeah, we do. you can sit on the couch while i go grab it, " mila said and went to the kitchen to grab the ice pack. in her mind, there was lots of questions she wanted to ask edith from how she got hurt like that to why she needed a place to stay. and, obviously, from the amount of things mila had seen and heard when she was in the foster system; her mind went to the worst case scenario that could have happened to edith. mila went back to the living room, putting the ice pack softly where it was hurt. " you are not a mess, " mila assured, her free hand rubbing edith's gently, " if you wanna tell me what happened, i'm all ears. "

Edith had officially lost it. She hadn’t meant to start the fight, but in a way that asshole started it. The words he said never got under her skin before, but when certain this were mentioned, when he c r o s s e d that line, her mind shut off. Not being able to hold her words in any longer, she yelled at him. Soon an argument turned into a fist fight which led up to her packing a bag of clothes and heading elsewhere for the week. What made her even more upset was that her aunt was taking up for him. A complete stranger over her niece? That says a lot, doesn’t it. During the altercation, she texted a friend and asked for their address, knowing that she was not going to stay in that hellhole for another minute. They took the keys to her car, so walking was her only choice. It was late at night, and she didn’t really trust bus stops at this time. Once approaching the home, she knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer it. Rocking back and forth on her feet, she looked up at the person who answered it. “ Heeey. Can I — maybe, you don’t have to say yes — stay for the rest of the week? ”

it was a normal night for mila; she was in the living room of the house, a blanket over her shoulders and watching one of the many chick flicks netflix had to offer. she was halfway through clueless when she saw her phone screen lighting up, making her pausing the movie and see what was. as she saw edith's name-- captain weirdo-- she instantly texted back, giving her the address. locking her phone, mila went back to watch the movie, not wondering why the other had asked for the address; they were friends and someday edith was bound to go there. the green eyed girl was about to fall asleep on the couch as she heard a soft knock on the door; which was pretty unlikely to happen in that time of the night. with the blanket still over her shoulders, mila went to the door and looked through the magic eye; her eyebrows arching when she saw the familiar silhouette. she opened the door and a gasp escaped her lips, " yes. of course, you can, " mila said worriedly, grabbing edith's hand to bring her into the house, " what happened to you ?? "

tell me a childhood story

“ i was ten and it was my first week at my now family's house. i was still shy around my parents, because which kid wouldn't be at their first week in a new home. and i was also scared that they would put cole and i back in the foster system; something that had happened a few more times than i would've liked. anyways back to the story, i was out with mom and we passed by a music store. i stopped on my tracks because i had seen probably the most beautiful acoustic guitar and that brought some memories of learning how to play a few songs with one of the families before. i guess mom noticed that, and in the next day, the guitar was leaned in a wall next to the door  of my bedroom and she had enrolled me in classes to learn more. that was the day i knew they would keep us for real and, finally, loosed up. "

her lips were soft and she tasted so sweet, it made his head swirl. she was way more addictive than any of the drugs he’s had. she could be his drug and he wouldn’t want anything else but her. kissing her temporarily shoved all of his worries away and dear lord he didn’t want to stop, but the need for air had been quite insistent and he had to break the kiss to take in some air. he let his thumb run along her lower lip and then left a quick kiss there before he grinned so widely and chuckled some.

how his lips were smooth, how his hands felt on her cheeks and even the smell of sweat coming from him; it all just added up for mila to think that if there was such a thing as a perfect kiss, that would be it. as he broke the kiss, the only thing going through her mind was how she wanted to keep it going; and seeing his gorgeous grin, the one it kept her mind running wild, she wanted to do something to spend more time seeing it. she took her arms from his hips and grabbed her phone in the back pocket of her jeans. she unlocked her phone and texted a quick message to her brother, looking up to alfie again soon as she was done with it. " so... " she began, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, " i may or may not have texted cole saying that i found a friend and said friend will take me home, " she grinned, putting her hands around his hips again, " and that i also might be late for dinner. "
