Ok I got a few questions:
How do the rabbit fam/neo diamond cutters feel about their relationship?
Who fell first, and how did they confess?
On a scale of 1-10 how big are they on PDA (public display of affection)?
(Kinda angsty I apologize) how does Gemerl feel knowing he’s gonna outlive not only the rabbit fam, but also the first person he’s ever loved?
What do they like most about each other?

“That’s all I got unfortunately” after asking 5 interesting questions is crazy work lmao. Anyway starting from the top
1. The rabbit family is overjoyed for Gemerl they never really expected him to fall in love but now that it happened they support him 100% Gemerl struggles a bit asking for their advice and support but they will happily give it.
Cream is very much on board with this romance story. She is constantly giving him advice from fairy tales and stuff like that. She loves Lanolin even if the sheep doesn’t know how to interact with children like at all.
Vanilla meanwhile was more… not hesitant but she knew that this was all new for Gemerl and she was worried what would happen if Lanolin broke his heart. Once she was sure that wasn’t going to happen she basically started the process of emotionally adopting Lanolin into the family.
As for the Diamond Cutters they are just as supportive as the rabbits though it’s a more chaotic support more like a bunch of friends all navigating life together. Lanolin often goes to them for advice because she sees them as some sort of experts on this stuff.
Tangle and Whisper interrogated Gemerl after learning about the relationship. Much like Vanilla they wanted to be sure that he wasn’t going to break her heart. She’s had a tough time with letting people in and getting burned as we all know. In the end they also realized they could trust him with the sheep’s heart, though they did promise to beat him up him if he intentionally hurts her. Other than that they give Lanolin romantic advice as “love experts” as Tangle puts it.
2. Gemerl and it’s not even close.
General timeline on their relationship
* they first met during the Metal Virus (Big story 2020 annual) where they kinda comforted each other Lanolin especially helped him after Vanilla and Vector got infected.
* they ran into each other at Angel Island and the Spiral Hill party then a long time of not seeing each other after that despite both being at the white park chateau (honestly debating on if they interacted there.)
* then the Rabbit family decided to go and help with the Emeraldville reconstruction from time to time. Gemerl being a robot was a great help for construction so him and Lanolin started working together because of their prior friendship.
* Gemerl really liked working with Lanolin. She is on a wavelength similar to him and he started wanting to spend more and more time with her. It took him 3 check-ups with Tails and 2 with Belle to make sure he wasn’t broken. he then finally accepted that maybe his feelings towards her were deeper than he thought. So what else was he to do but walk up to her after she was done working and tell her EVERYTHING.
* Lanolin meanwhile, well she wasn’t thinking about romance either given how… hard she can be on herself. She was very focused on making up for everything she thinks she did wrong. Though she eventually realized all those voices in her head telling her she wasn’t enough got smaller around him. He seemed interested in what she had to say and actually wanted to learn from her. When he confessed she decided she needed a bit of time to think but eventually they got together.
Granted barely anything changed outwardly at the start but it’s the thought that counts.
3. I’d say hmmm 3 in public then 8 in private (Or around close friends I.E rabbit fam or NDC). Though they swear it doesn't change. In public you probably couldn't tell they are dating mostly cause when around people they are usually so focused on other business. When asked they will just tell you they don't see the need for physical touch to "Prove their relationship." When in private however all that goes out the window they will do little love head taps, they hold hands, they cuddle at night sometimes, Gemerl likes holding Lanolin (He loves her wool). Lanolin finds warmth in Gemerl's touch that shouldn't exist yet somehow it's there for her.
4. Ooooo angst I love angst never apologize giving me some angst (hell you should see my WIP Gemelin fic.) anyway the answer is that he refuses to think about it and when he does he pushes it to the back of his mind immediately. Gemerl struggles with his nature as a robot often. Sometimes he watches them eat dinner or doesn't completely understand their thinking or even when doing something as simple as touching Lanolin's skin. It isn't a constant feeling more a dormant pain that will show itself once and awhile. He tries not to talk about it but Lanolin has occasionally gotten him to open up a bit (She is an expert at hiding her own feelings so she could tell.) one fic idea I had (Not the WIP) was Gemerl wishing on a star to "Be just like them" and turning into a rabbit but that will come later.
5. Ok starting with Lanolin her favorite thing about Gemerl is how good of a listener he is. She never feels like he is bored when talking to her about paperwork or construction planning. Him taking such an interest in learning her work is "appreciated" as he put it definitely not hiding any feelings. As for Gemerl his favorite thing about Lanolin is her unwavering desire to help others. He finds her dedication to making others feel safe "very admirable" as he put it also definitely not hiding any feelings.
