DISCUSSION ABOUT CHUBBY! ALASTOR AND SLIM! VINCENT.
Many people say that if Vivienne had drawn her characters with different body types, Alastor would have been tall and thin and Vincent/Vox would have been short and fat. Relatively speaking, I agree that Vox could have been stocky (after all, he would need a stronger body to hold the heavy TV that serves as his head) and Alastor is terribly thin (this is his punishment from God for his addiction to eating human meat), but this is all about their demonic forms. As for their human forms, I think that of the two, only Alastor could have had the "privilege" of being slightly overweight, as he relies on his voice rather than his face like Vincent. This is similar to the situation with opera singers, where they don't necessarily need to be overweight, but if they have a slight belly or chubby cheeks, they won't be criticized or loved less by their fans, as their admirers primarily appreciate their voice rather than their physical appearance. So Alastor could have been a charming chubby guy (especially since the classic jambalaya recipe he loves is quite high in calories) but Vincent would have had to follow strict diets and exercise to look presentable and fit into the ideal image, because in the 1950s, people with weight issues were not well-received, and he needed to be the best and the brightest.
