“they will never meet again”
Is it a universal medication-taker experience to swallow your pills and then five minutes later completely blank and wonder if you’ve actually taken them or if you took the wrong ones
i wont hatepost but sometimes it does feel like this to scroll fandom tags
Do I think the sexual relationship between Ah duo and Yang was 100% consensual? Of course not.
It can't exactly be with someone that highly in power asking for you to instruct him in bed, and it is brought up a lot of times in the novels how 1.) Ah Duo became his consort out of friendship (this to me reads as: he came to like her because they were friends) and how 2.) how she still resents him for making her his consort i. e. for making her sleep with him. That's a soft phrasing for what happened.
Sure he was loyal to her, but Ah Duo wouldn't have cared either way....the damage was already done, as she had already lain with him. Yang loved Ah Duo, but he loves her like an Emperor would love a woman.
If he had loved and respected her like Jinshi loves and respects Maomao, he would have known about her dreams and aspirations as a merchant. He would have known that she did not want to stay in the rear palace. But he asked her to be his bedmate and thus squashed that dream. Because he did not want her to leave him.
Therefore I do not see their sexual relationship as consensual. They are friends, cautiously, id say. But that too isn't entirely consensual on Ah Duos part because she has no choice but to be in his proximity :/
Yang is not his father, but he is still his father's child, and Jinshi is his father's child. He is still a man of very high nobility and status, and it takes him time to realize this. However, Jinshi explicitly wants to be an equal footing with the person he loves. He wants someone to be able to tell him No. I hereby cross-reference the post where it was stated that TAD is a story of Jinshi trying to invent the concept of consent, and I think erasing Ah Duos non-consent takes away from that ;/

people who dont experience it cannot comprehend how awful executive dysfunction is. I WANT to do the task, i have the resources TO do the task, i will feel better having DONE the task
but i cant fucking do the task
the worst part is that The Task can be anything.
it can be doing the laundry, picking up that random paper that you've been walking by for a week and a half, getting up to take a shower, eating, sending a message to a friend who you really want to talk to, watching a show you like, drinking tea you've already made...
The Task is literally anything from chores to doing things you actively enjoy. it's fucking terrible.
The 1920s woman was all about independence and freedom, with a wardrobe that reflected as such. The corseted, constricted silhouette of previous decades was long gone. In its place came the tube shaped drop waist synonymous with 1920s style. While glitz and glamour is often associated with the decade that shepherded in the Jazz Age, women's fashion moved toward the simple, with streamline shapes and hems shorter than they had ever been before. Casual sportswear had long been in fashion for men, but by the twenties it also made its way into women's wardrobes. In fact, one of the most popular style icons of the decade was tennis star Suzanne Lenglen. Outfit details under the cut.

The beginning of the 1910s saw elements of the previous decade's fashions carry over into the new century. However, World War I had a profound effect on society and culture, significantly slowing down sartorial evolution. The S-shape made popular in previous decades softened, with skirts beginning to taper and shorten, and the empire waist coming back into vogue. War time meant clothing simplified even further come the mid decade, as utilitarian attire became more and more necessary. After the war ended, simple styles continued and a barrel like silhouette emerged, which would later evolve into the drop waist style synonymous with the 1920s. Outfit details under the cut.

Back when I reached my 1k follower milestone I celebrated by putting together a collection of no CC in-game hairs for the decades of the 1920s to the 1990s (part one here and part two here). Now that I have reached my 7k follower milestone I wanted to take that concept to the next level. Presenting the first post in the CC Free Century series. Over the coming months I'll be sharing lookbooks from the 1900s to the 1990s that use only in-game CAS assets, alongside some brief historical context for each of the decades. I hope you enjoy this sartorial journey through fashion history!
The start of the 20th century saw women's fashion from the 1890s carry over into the new decade. The iconic S-shape silhouette was still in vogue and modesty was a key component of a lady's wardrobe. Day dresses and blouses featured high necklines and full sleeves, with excess fabric helping to emphasise the fashionable top heavy style of the time. While bodies were initially moulded into shape thanks to highly structured corsetry, by the late 1900s the simplification and loosening of dress that would come to define the decade began to appear. Outfit details under the cut.

its a cliche but im a slut for when a character is introduced as super chill and goofy and then you later find out theyre chill and goofy because theyre too powerful to be touched. the level 100 wizard whos already figured out everything and is just vibing now. big fan.
literally everyone is capable of perpetuating misogyny it comes free with living in a misogynistic society i don’t know why this is difficult
its so sad when a fanfic trope initially centered around noncon/dubcon gets popular enough that it turns into a watered down extremely consensual healthy-relationship version of it
as retribution i think i'm going to start taking vanilla tropes and making them noncon. the barista is putting roofies in the coffee. there's only one bed and the other guy is getting chained to the radiator. there's no social or legal protections for assault within soulmate matches
I think the strangest criticism of queer ships is when people say “no, they’re best friends” or “they’re better as just friends” like bitch they are still best friends. They’re just also fucking. What’s not clicking?
