hey love i saw your post about moving on twitter and the tagging issue you mentioned i hope this isnt too obvious cause you might already know but people make threads on there!! you can pin a tweet to your profile and add all your threads or fanarts to it to keep everything neat and together, there is also an option to create "moments" where you can add everything to one place or for instance your proudest works so people will know what they can expect from your account and follow!!
I do know about threads, but it seemed unwieldy to make for example, one giant hanzo thread LOL, same with how many moments i’d have to make. I do appreciate you trying to help though :D so far i’ve just been including character names so if you search my handle + name you SHOULD get all the pics of that character, but i can always compile into a moment later if the situation changesIf you guys are still here and not on twitter my handle is @ spikyhoney so follow me there for archive of old art + new art (??)

Yes I have heard about this umm right now I don’t have anything set up but I can probable re-upload everything to twitter or something? Even if I don’t post anymore it should be archived there I’ll post a link for everyone when it get it up before the 17th for sure! I’m okay!! thank you for asking, i am just so busy right now (So not more family stuff!) :( I don’t have any more cons in the fall/winter so i may start posting then, i’m not sure right now! but i’m doing well :)
Currently on a creative hiatus on all my accounts, family stuff happened that’s kinda made me not able to draw / create anything for a while. When I can get back into drawing regular stuff i’ll start up back here too ;n; sorry!
Now, take my advice with a grain of salt since I myself am a bi woman, but I do think not offering m/m might be your best option. It's not meant as a slight, it's just something that's really out of your expertise, if that makes sense.
Just wanted to say in general thank you to everyone who left messages and replies with advice! (obviously i can not reply to the anon ones privately, but do know I’ve read them all!)I do not take this as a slight at all, I don’t know why I just didn’t do that in the first place. I guess i was afraid of leaving people out or something and ended up being even more confusing as a result. Other than the few anon asks I don’t think I’ve even had anyone really want it, so I probably will just say no m/m just because like you said, it’s totally not my expertise and it’s not fun for me so there’s no point in doing it on a for fun blog. ANYWAY SORRY FOR TWO LONG TEXTS POSTS IN A ROW, thanks again for everyone who left a message, multiple people of different gender/orientations have said this is probably the easiest and best option so i’m probably sticking with this for now :)
EDIT: one option i’m considering right now is just not offering m/m period, the up charge is just confusing and leads to "valuing” of things when i should just assert it’s a preference for this blog. This seems like the best option i had not considered!
This isn’t porn so you don’t have to read but I got a message on tumblr that I think misinterprets why I do things and made me realize that Idk either i need to change my policies/prices or clarify something, i’m not sure. If you’re an LGBT follower I welcome your feedback.
The message in question basically tried to say i was “brave” for not drawing m/m and that they would also charge extra for all their lgbt commissions. (Context: My explanation / policy >>HERE<<) They also misread my information sheet and assumed i also charged more for f/f, i do not but this is only tangential i think.
I have to address this publicly because I think this means i’ve been giving off the wrong message which i would deeply regret, more after the cut if you care lol v_v (it’s really long it’s REALLY OKAY To just skip this post lol)
Firstly, I am not “brave” for drawing het porn. No one is brave to draw the status quo and majority. No one is brave for trying to exclusively draw it either. I do not get harassment about this. I’ve gotten a few asks, maybe ONE slightly pass-aggressive ask from an anon who was probably rightfully fearful to attach their name to their question. This is NOT harassment. Questioning a policy is not harassment, I have never been and probably never will be harassed for wanting to draw het porn. IT IS NOT BRAVERY to draw a LOW RISK PORN.
Next. For my full price commissions, I do not charge more for lgbt content. m/m f/f or any thing else related to gender, sexuality, or race/ethnicity. I either draw something or I do not, if it takes me more time I charge more. If I were to open full price nsfw commissions on my main or on here, I would not have a price differentiation for m/m. The only only only reason I have one here as stated in my policy is because I am charging BELOW FULL PRICE for ALL the work I do on this blog, part of the payment is the fun of drawing specially women having fun. I personally do not have fun drawing m/m porn, so I charge a little more to compensate. If you need to do that for your REGULAR FULL PRICE COMMISSIONS, you can’t use that excuse? Or else you’re saying you under charge for everything else you draw??
I may have mistakenly thought this was okay. Cause we as a society tend to give a lot of leeway to porn we wouldn’t for other things. Like Oh that’s just their kink, they don’t actually like that irl, etc. And I figured, especially because this policy was for porn, and because I perceived tumblr as a space with lots of m/m artists already that this policy was okay. I’m wondering if I was wrong though. Clearly at least one person is getting the wrong idea from this, that it’s okay to charge more for all lgbt art because they “don’t like it”, which i mean kind of the only difference is that one’s porn and one’s not.
I guess the final thing is, I’m not sure how to fix this. My target audience is straight and bi women who feel under-served by existing nsfw art, I don’t think i’m alienating any mlm by wanting to serve people similar to me nor am i interested in serving straight women who just like mlm art. BUT it seems my actions have inadvertently made people feel like they should be allowed to do things I would normally feel are wrong. I feel like my only options are to either
A. Raise my commission prices to be inline with my real prices and accept all gender/orientation pairings
B. Not do commissions at all.
Where in A. means a lot of people will be priced out of commissions and B means.. no one gets nsfw commissions ever. You may ask, what about an option C. where you just don’t charge more for m/m? And I would point you back to my original explanation. I just really don’t have the time in my life right now or any time in the future that I can see where i would draw something I just don’t have fun drawing for a heavily discounted price, if all of my slots were taken by people wanting m/m porn I would just be not having fun AND not be paid enough which at that point, i could just be doing my normal work and be paid enough.
So there in lies the rub. I guess I have to think more about what kind of ramifications these policies have beyond my intentions. This is also why I wanted to hear from any LGBT followers, straight people should probably not offer an opinion as we are not the ones who would be hurt by these issues, thank you. Maybe i’m just being naively hopeful that I don’t have to change anything.. but.. idk, that message was pretty damning to me and really hecked my morning up. What should i do T_T
