I’m feeling very disconnected from this fan base.
As upset as I’ve been about Ian and Mickey, my focus this season has been predominately on Carl and the overall race issue. (This doesn’t make me better, this is just where my anger has flamed up most.) I am not happy with what happened with Gallavich, but it seems to have been Noel’s choice. I don’t care to push the “Bring Mickey Back” thing if Noel did decide to leave. Even if I did, I don’t want to jump on a bandwagon that seems to be filled with people telling one writer to hurt herself or quit her job.
The abuse that’s been thrown at Sheila is outrageous. As unhappy as I have been with her and everyone else’s writing, I believe there is a way to critique without being a complete asshole. On top of that, people are being hateful towards the actor of Caleb’s character - That is unacceptable.
People have commented on Noel’s wife’s Instagram, saying her husband belongs with Cam. Any picture Cam and Noel post about others projects are swarmed with demands about Mickey. It seems very cruel, to me. These actors aren’t saying anything, because they’re likely not allowed to. It’s not a difficult concept, in my eyes.
I’m shocked with how many Shameless fans are treating real people, including each other. I don’t want to be apart of this behavior, man.
