Do you like- drink soup or eat it?
When I’m referring to someone consuming soup, would you say they drank soup, or they ate soup? Because like- it’s food, yeah, you can eat soup as a meal, and you eat a meal, you don’t drink a meal, but it’s a meal that’s a liquid, and you drink liquids. But it’s not a beverage like most other edible liquids- so I don’t know what rules apply to such a thing. I don’t talk about soup very often, but if the topic comes up, I don’t want people to think I’m an uncultured non-soup-verb-knower.
Whether I eat or drink soup depends on how hungry I am
