The style is an allusion to Aubrey Beardsley’s illustrations for the Death of King Arthur. The poor man must be turning in his grave. As for the plot - it’s a direct link to the “Star Wars: Clone Wars” story where Anakin gave his lightsaber to Amidala. Like grandfather, like grandson.
