Border City Campus Concept Goes Public
The Mill Owners' Association is proud to introduce the Border City Campus initiative. Visualized as part of the conceptual development of the Fall River Energy Enterprise (FREE), the State Pier may come alive as the pier from which new ferry excursions to Block Island and other destinations may occur, beginning this season, 2012.
Mill Owners' Association Explores New Ferry Service
The MOA has undertaken a series of discussions with resources in New York City and with the City of Fall River aimed at restoring or re-introducing a new ferry service out of the State Pier in the city. It would operate between Fall River and Block Island. Discussions are ongoing. Patricia Tod, Ph.D., VP of the MOA, has spearheaded a number of such discussions in an effort to revitalize commerce in and about the mills adjacent to the State Pier. Stay tuned, we will have more on this topic. The accompanying photo, above, is a fictional representation of the wharf as imagined when it was first conceived as part of the Fall River Energy Enterprise (FREE), several years ago.

You go to City Hall, and head due west down Anawan Street. As you pass under the overpass, Anawan is the first mill on your right. Ask for Pat. She will help you set up your new space to grow your business.
