Sketchhhhhyyyy
Sometimes I feel weird about posting these because they're not my best work. These doodles are really just a way for me to break through that daily resistance to creating - it's more about filling in the watercolour blob than creating something "good". It's really easy for me to get caught up in making sure something is perfect, to the point that I don't finish some of my best work. So this is a way I'm trying to break through that.
I really liked how this doodle was a cohesive image. I wanted to test my sketchbook paper (which is super thin as you can see from the warping) - it works fine for a sketch and I'm happy to be introducing some color to my sketchbook!
Dragons seem to show up a lot in these daily doodles.
Doing some daily doodles over watercolour blobs. It's useful because I end up drawing things I don't normally draw.
It's watercolor month? So I painted over a test print!
Printmaking progress.
I initially wanted to make this series about inspiration with these skeleton muses but then I decided it was getting too morose, so I changed it to inspiration from nature and somehow it’s still kind of depressing. Sometimes it’s just better to lean into your inspiration.
Am I a messy worker?
I think the results speak for themselves.
Did you know that toucan beaks not only stay attached to their skulls after death but also colourful? Creepy cool.
u/jennare is a legit mermaid and this is proof. Super quick sketch today. I'm hoping posing this will give me the incentive to come back and finish this was fun. I only realized it was MerMay on the last day of May so now I have mermaid-envy.

From memory there wasn’t actually planets and stars at this drawing session but I could be wrong. Throwback to figure drawing class this year.
u/StonerInTraining at Pride! I love drawing flower crowns but I can never seem to get them quite right.

Mood: dead inside
This print is from last year - I’ve loved this concept forever and I don’t think I will ever stop revisiting it.
