Every once in a while I remember the shelter from which I adopted @mimi-and-luna had this photo of them on their website and I want to cry

it's okay princess scrunkly. never mind all your siblings were adopted while you were so pathetic-looking no one would adopt you OR your mom, someday you will be loved and feel safe

Today Luna climbed onto my chair with me for the very first time, asked for pets, purred very softly, showed me her belly and went to sleep.

I spoke to her very quietly because i was afraid Mimi might hear from upstairs, come down and be jealous that kiddo had supplanted her.

But it turned out Mimi was behind us on the sofa. I praised her with great praise and gave her attention afterwards.

I’m so proud of both of them. Luna for learning to trust, and Mimi for learning to share.
