Today Luna climbed onto my chair with me for the very first time, asked for pets, purred very softly, showed me her belly and went to sleep.

I spoke to her very quietly because i was afraid Mimi might hear from upstairs, come down and be jealous that kiddo had supplanted her.

But it turned out Mimi was behind us on the sofa. I praised her with great praise and gave her attention afterwards.

I’m so proud of both of them. Luna for learning to trust, and Mimi for learning to share.

I'm trying to adopt a kitten because life sucks and I want a little partner in crime to join me in battle but the rescue fucking ghosted me. I was attached to the kitten too ...

Guess who has a cat!!!

Meet Sophie everybody!!!

I brought her home today. She’s still getting acclimated to her new home, but she’s already allowed me to give her pets!!! As far as I can tell, she’s not overly stressed out. (Though I know it’s normal for cats to be anxious when they first go to a new home.) So far she’s just been chilling in the fort I accidentally made for her.

I’ll make updates as to how things go!

Guys meet the new co-author of this blog !!!!

I adopted my first cat today at the spca 😭 i love him so much.

His shelter name is Pousse-Mine (mechanical pencil in french lmao) so we will change it, but i haven’t decided for what yet.

So far i’m thinking 1) salem (bc it’s my fave cat character and my baby won’t stop talking) 2) bibble from barbie bc personality 3) tuna bc he loves his fish

I will update when he gets his real name lol, but he’s the best. He went straight under my bed when i got him home which is normal and then he came out so quick with some treats and he’s been glued to me since.

I cried when i pet him at the shelter and i knew he was the one. And then i cried when he came home.

Terrified baby is back

Poor Sweetie! A couple of the volunteers from the rescue dropped Sweetie off today. The isolation shelter was ready for her. She will be there for a few more days – she’s 10 days post spay, but mostly to get used to being back in a familiar place and get special food while she’s there. She was with the foster for a couple of months and was terrified the entire time. Even bit the foster again!…
