Just applied for a new family member 🥰

There's two cats I'm interested in but one of them takes the cake and I'm SO excited to meet him and tell him he's perfect! He's 4 months old and missing an eye, he's a survivor, and he likes to be held and cuddled! It's perfect!!

The other one is a sweet boy who likes to be cradled, he's playful and friendly and funny, and he's almost a tuxedo, if not fully! I somehow always end up having a tuxedo or cow cat and a gray cat, and my baby at home is a gray girl in need of a playmate so the cycle continues!

Both of these cats check a lot of boxes for me: they're boys (which is great for cat hierarchy reasons as it makes him easier to introduce with very little conflict or resistance, my cat is already spayed and whatever boy I bring home will be neutered, there will be no kittens), they're both friendly, sweet, and playful as well as used to being handled and enjoys being held, they're young and generally healthy (and therefore can keep up with my cat when it comes to playtime) but one of them has a feature that might make him less likely to be adopted and that was on my checklist to ensure that me getting a younger cat will still be beneficial in that this cat would have a harder time finding a home than most other younger cats that are super desirable and more likely to be adopted! I had been hoping for a fluffy or hairless cat to be in the cards this time around as I've never had either one, but all the other boxes are checked so I'm happy. All in all, it's a really hard choice 👀🐈‍⬛

Today Luna climbed onto my chair with me for the very first time, asked for pets, purred very softly, showed me her belly and went to sleep.

I spoke to her very quietly because i was afraid Mimi might hear from upstairs, come down and be jealous that kiddo had supplanted her.

But it turned out Mimi was behind us on the sofa. I praised her with great praise and gave her attention afterwards.

I’m so proud of both of them. Luna for learning to trust, and Mimi for learning to share.
