Ahem…actually, I think Jared Harris does the best job. I’m one of the people who actually hear’s Caribbean in most of the Belter’s accents.Oddly enough, I don’t get Afrikaans at all. I know a lot of people do hear it though. One of the reason I like Dawes’ accent best is it sounds like Jared Harris actually went out of his way to practice an original accent. Well, that and his voice and charisma are smooth AF. I pattern my accent on his when I speak lang belta. But yes, you do hear the British now and then. 

Oh and this was before Drummer! I think her’s is also a unique accent. Not necessarily the same, but like Nick Farmer said, there are regional accents so not all of these Belters were raised on the same rock so they shouldn’t all sound the same.

I agree but at the same time, especially in Rositas case, she knew if it didnt work someone other than her would get it. I totally blame Negan and Arat for killing Olivia, but at the same time Rosita HAD to know her plan was going to get someone killed.

Glenn’s death this season basically ruined the whole show for me, not just because he was my favorite character, but because it just proved to me that Kirkman and Gimple have sold out their creative and compelling storytelling skills for this show in favor of lazy and redundant shock value deaths and raking in cash with their cow, Daryl Dixon. Glenn Rhee was easily the most complex, dynamic, and likable main character on this show, but they totally wasted his amazing character. Maybe, it would have been different if they hadn’t spent half of S6 hiding him under a dumpster. Maybe, it would have been different if Maggie’s TV counterpart weren’t already written as a badass, and independent leader from her introduction on the show. Maybe, it would have been different if they had actually given Glenn the full backstory and character development that he deserved. Maybe, it would have been different if the writers hadn’t set up Glenn’s TV counterpart for a really compelling potential comic divergent storyline so perfectly with that dark edge he had to his personality, only to waste it all by underutilizing his character, then killing him off in the season seven premiere because “it was an iconic moment in the comic books” that they just had to recreate on the show, and because Daryl was the more popular character who they were too afraid to kill off, instead.

I just can’t get past the fact that Gimple and Kirkman threw Glenn to the sharks for shits and giggles, and because they didn’t have the balls to kill off Daryl, instead, even though it would have made more narrative sense to do so in regards to the TV show due to the fact that he is Rick’s righthand man. Daryl who has had the same old boring man pain storyline ever since S4, and who only seems to act as liability rather than a help these days. Plus, the show has just felt so boring, depressing, hopeless, hollow, and meaningless without Glenn this season. Even moments where the main group members of TF are all hugging each other feel really empty and incomplete because Glenn should be there with them alive right now!

I told myself that I would stick around for Rick, Carl, Michonne, and Maggie’s sakes. However, I just can’t get past Glenn’s death on this show. It was the most unacceptable and unjustified death on this show in every way, and it’s just too much for me to get over. Kirkman and Gimple went too far this time, and I may actually quit once I finish this season.

Please, shut the fuck up! In the comics, Daryl Dixon doesn’t fucking exist! In the comics, Carol is dead, Sophia and Andrea are still alive, and Richonne isn’t a couple. The writers cherry pick what that they want from the comic books. Glenn died on the show because a group of white male writers who run it thought that it was groundbreaking and emotionally shocking to brutally kill off the longtime POC character with the kindest heart, who had overcome every odd, and who had the most to look forward to with a wife he loved more that life, itself, with a baby on the way.

However, they ruined the shock value aspect of it by hiding Glenn under a fucking dumpster for half of S6. They ruined the death by jumping through so many hoops to try and hype up this ultimate death, foreshadowing it blatantly, putting Glenn through a bunch of near-death scenarios post S3 that when it actually happened I felt cheated out of something that could have been a great payoff by letting him survive and get a comic divergent arc, instead. Instead of taking the time to fully develop and flesh out Glenn’s character, like good writers who respect their character for more than a shock value death, they toyed with his fate, and my heart that was emotionally invested in him, along with so many other fans for his last two seasons, so the one way to redeem themselves was to let Glenn survive unscathed from his comic book death, after pulling all of that shit for his last two seasons on the show, but they failed.
